Overview of readings lists in a study program
Leganto gives the possibility to
- link to a specific course (and display the list(s) associated to this course)
- get an overview of all the reading lists belonging to a specific academic departments, through their course association
The missing link in between is the association of a smaller number of courses, belonging to the same academic department or not:
the study program.
Librarians and instructors could associate courses to a study program as easily as they can associate a list to a course.
Students could search for a program in the find list interface.
An overview of all the lists within a given study program could also be displayed by a study program permalink, on the same model as permalink to course.
After further researching and evaluating this idea we have determined that it requires significant changes to the data architecture of the system which makes it a very risky development. We have not been able to come up with a workaround to adequately implement the idea in another way and we are therefore closing the idea.

If you like this idea, please consider if this new one would be a workable solution. https://ideas.exlibrisgroup.com/forums/395697-leganto/suggestions/47579414-make-subjects-usable
Or maybe the study program needs to be an additional field rather than using the subjects/discipline field.

This would be a useful addition to Leganto to be able to report on all modules within a certain study programme. At present we have to manually filter our reports by course code to obtain this information.

Hello Ex Libris! What is the status of this idea? The idea was changed to "Accepted" on June 24, 2021, but I can't find it in the roadmap for 2021-2022.

Hopefully this will be possible!
