Record date/time and user ID of student who reports a broken link
Current scenario: student marks a link as broken, we filter in Alma to find the citations with Report of broken link. We fix this if it is broken but just as frequently we are unable to identify any reason for the report.
We need to be able to respond to the student to alert them to the fact that we have fixed the link, alert them to the fact that it coincided with reported downtime for a resource or contact them to investigate why they are unable to access the resource (when there does not appear to be a problem).
We would expect the user ID and the date and time of report to appear in the Citation list.

I have submitted a new idea to allow users (especially students) to add a note when link is marked as broken: https://ideas.exlibrisgroup.com/forums/395697-leganto/suggestions/37347445-allow-users-especially-students-to-add-a-note-wh

I see that this enhancement is due for implementation in the Jan 2019 release, but will not allow users to include a comment for the library when reporting a broken link. Would you still be able to consider this as an enhancement?

Some useful statistics to indicate why this is important. Between Feb 9- Apr 30 2018, we have dealt with 114 broken link alerts on our reading lists.
73 of them (64%) had no issues we could identify and 41 required some intervention of some sort.
We are particular concerned about the 73 as there may be issues or misunderstandings which we are unable to tackle because we cannot contact the students who clicked on the report. This is very important to us in order to close the feedback loop but also to ensure that our students can make the most of Leganto and not get needlessly frustrated.

It would also be useful if the user could add a comment for the library when reporting a broken link
