  1. No openURL in exported reference lists with reference styles (Chicago and APA)

When exporting citations to Word with a reference style, openURLs are included to some citations such as journal articles and electronic books.
    Example:
    https://bibsys-um.userservices.exlibrisgroup.com/view/uresolver/47BIBSYS_HIM/openurl?ctx_enc=info:ofi/enc:UTF-8&ctx_id=10_1&ctx_tim=2017-10-18T15%3A36%3A41IST&ctx_ver=Z39.88-2004&url_ctx_fmt=info:ofi/fmt:kev:mtx:ctx&url_ver=Z39.88-2004&rfr_id=info:sid/primo.exlibrisgroup.com-BIBSYS_ILS&req_id=&rft_dat=ie=47BIBSYS_UBTO:5194209890002205,ie=47BIBSYS_HIO:5149861280002218,ie=47BIBSYS_HIM:5116987240002223,ie=47BIBSYS_HH:5153300090002214,ie=47BIBSYS_NETWORK:71468414340002201,language=eng,view=HIM&svc_dat=viewit&u.ignore_date_coverage=true&user_ip=&req.skin=primo

This should not be the case.

According to both APA and Chicago, the DOI should be included if one is assigned.
If none is assigned, then you can include a URL. So URLs are not strictly necessary and they don't need to appear in the citation if the DOI is present.

APA just requires to write DOIs such as "DOI:10.1057/palgrave.kmrp.8500141", while Chicago seems to require DOI-based URLs:
"A URL based on a DOI (appended to …

  2. More self explanatory labels in the Leganto Publishing Configuration

The labels in the Leganto Publishing Configuration (Configuration > Fulfillment > Leganto > Publishing) are rather confusing.
"Anyone Restricted" especially has been a cause of misunderstanding with both Ex Libris and institutions in our consortium. A simple change such as "Anyone Restricted, Course students only" for example would make it easier to immediately understand who has access to uploaded files.

But all labels in general would benefit from a more self explanatory formulation, for example:
    List anyone,
    List all students,
    List course students,

    , course materials anyone
    , course materials all students
    , course materials course students

  3. Searching or refining a search with publication year

The citation search in Leganto has been significantly improved with the material type facets.
But it could be made even more efficient and userfriendly with the possibility to search or filter by publication year.
Some publications such as reports have the same title and the time of publication is a good way to differentiate between them and/or easier to remember than a DOI.

  4. Ability to customise the Leganto entry screen to reflect institutional requirements

The screen a) should be able to support basic theme branding to align with institutional branding to support a seamless experience when integrated with an LMS b)support the restructuring of the page to reflect organizational priorities c) support the addition of items and renaming of options using terms relevant to the institution.

We are closing this idea because there have been significant changes to the entry screens and there are many new options for customizing labels and other features since this idea was originally created. Please open a new idea with current requirements if still needed.

  5. Public and Library Tags

Currently both Library and Public tags are a closed, predefined set. It would be a better user experience if tags were open (especially Public tags) and could be created by both Librarians and Instructors, as and when required.

We believe, that tags should be the same across all institution’s lists in order to unify the view to students.
Also, when tags are associated to business activities that will impact the library workflow such as items priority, the same terminology should be applies across all the lists as well.

  6. Sub-divide sections within a reading list

As an instructor, I would like to be able to sub-divide sections within a reading list, e.g. Week 1 is a section, subdividing this into Mandatory, Optional, tutorial question, etc

we do not want Leganto to have more than one hierarchy because, we would like to keep an easy reading list material discovery (no hidden citations) and also, to have homogeneous view between all the lists (for better student’s UX)

  7. Being able as an instructor to see all reading lists attached to a specific course

As an instructor, it might be useful to search for a course (whether it is the instructor's courses or a collaborator's courses) to obtain the list of all related reading lists of that specific course. Right now, in the Instructor page, the search for course name will only list the reading list that the instructor has already created, or followed. Thanks

  8. Enable reading list items to be added to a PO line.

It would be helpful if items on order could be assigned to a reading list from the PO line by acquisitions staff and the reading list module information be a part of the PO line information.

We don’t see this request as part of the upcoming Leganto 12 months development plans.
Please pursue NERS as an alternate way.

  11. Citation can have several resources associated with it Add ability to have another hierarchy in the reading list

Citation can have several resources associated with it
Add ability to have another hierarchy in the reading list like folder with metadata information, that will aggregate several citation beneath it to allow different editions etc.
