Incentivize the app
Wondered if any colleges added a badge or rewards system to encourage student engagement through myECC Experience app?
7 votesWhile we understand the need for gamification of engagement, we have decided not to implement it. The complexity involved in triggering badge accumulation and genericizing it across multiple institutions make this difficult to implement in a way that will provide enough value to justify the effort required.

Please Address the Asset Manager Caching issue
Please address the Asset Manager Caching issue.
When adding (re-adding) files of the same name the current caching configuration prevents the new image/file from getting recognized. This results in additional effort for the user and/or multiple assets with similarly names files. The most common use case is designing a tile image - making small tweaks to the image and re-adding (uploading) the file is a futile exercise due to the current, and known, caching issue.4 votesWhile we understand the need for this feature, we have decided not to implement it, as this would negatively effect the performance of the app.
When updating an asset, we recommend to upload the image with a different name (e.g. image_v2.png, image_v3.png, etc) to avoid this issue, as documented here:
https://knowledge.exlibrisgroup.com/campusM/Product_Documentation/Managing_the_App_and_Its_Services/01_Uploading_Files#:~:text=As%20noted%20in,on%20the%20device.

Support for Microsoft Authentication Library (MSAL)
Currently MSAL is not yet written into the campusM infrastructure. This is to request to add MSAL support to campusM so that it integrates with Microsoft Intune SDK to enforce security measures.

My Profile - Configuration
Investigating the potential use of the My Profile feature, I have come across the following issues which I have been advised (by Ex Libris support) to raise as enhancements here:
The web app does not reflect the addition/removal of tagged tiles (as per the preferences selected) on refresh. I have to sign/out in to trigger this. This is in contrast to the mobile app, where use of the refresh icon does update the display.
The personal details that come through on the profile are pulled from our Active Directory, which are not editable by the user (and the edit icon…

Allow Calendar icon to be turned off by profile
Allow Calendar icon to be turned off by profile - currently this appears to be defined by if profile requires authentication or not. Our profile for new students does require authentication, but as it is not possible to show their induction schedule in the calendar, the Calendar icon has no purpose and will cause confusion.

Enhance greeting PI "image" to accept a base64 image from RestAPI instead of direct link url
Current the RestAPI for the image on the greeting tile expects on open web image url to be returned in the json response to fetch the "avatar" e.g.
{
"photo": "https://example.edu/photo.png"
}In our institution at least our student photos which we expose to apps via RESTApis never send the url link to the requester but after verification delivers the image as a base64 stream for the requesting app to convert. Requiring the images to be on an open url exposes images to anyone just putting the url and changing user name to get photos of other accounts.…

Language Pack - Template Refresh
It would be useful if the current template available for the Language Pack could be updated to remove entries that no longer apply to the Web or Mobile (React Native) platforms in use.
This would include legacy app entries plus any other that are no longer referenced.
Currently there are a number of entries in the template and it is difficult to distinguish which one you actually need to amend to deliver the desired result.
It would also be useful if the template could reference the location of use of each entry to again support simpler review and update as…

The ability to add widgets to the home/lockscreen on iOS and Android. Ideas include:

My Profile - enable each Link to be assigned to an App Role
In My Profile please could you enable each Link to be assigned to one or more App Roles to enable us to provide Profile Links for Students / Types of Students or Staff.
At the moment we have student Profile links being seen by staff and some Profile links for UK campus students being seen by our overseas campuses.

Note that you may create multiple "My Profile" instances that are already configured per profile.

Back button from links within Alerts
When a user is in an Alert item and opens a link from within an alert, when they click the 'back' button, it goes back to the main CampusM home screen. It would make more sense if the back button took the user back to the Alert from where they had clicked the link, or at least back to the alerts page in general rather than all the way back to the home screen. It would be a better user journey.

Colour-coded timetable
Allow students to set certain classes to different colours on their timetable, allowing for easier and faster identification of the next lecture.
2 votesWhile we understand the importance of this feature, we have decided not to implement it at this time.
Please note that the Calendar is already color-coded, as each calendar feed gets a different color (configurable by campusM admins).

Please allow us the ability to disable the initial tile flip animation
Please allow us the ability to disable the initial tile flip animation that happens when you first visit CampusM via App or Browser. We've received reports that it triggers migraines

Simplify how to Arrange tiles
Rearrange tiles by holding-dragging-dropping like on iOS mobile home screens instead of having to go into the side menu.

Attendance - vary check-in window by role
Some activities for some students require attendance for the whole session (e.g. labs for medical students, where they're marked absent and have to reschedule if they're more than 15 minutes late) but for others that's not an issue - some schools encourage students arriving late to concentrate on the class asap and only check-in at the end.
Being able to set different check-in windows for different groups of students would allow us to meet both use cases.3 votesWhile we understand the importance of this feature, we've decided not to pursue its implementation.

extend the length of time that a notification can be viewed more than 90 days.
We have state requirements for some notifications to be listed for longer than 90 days. Some are for the whole year. Currently we would have to do a notification multiple times a year to be compliant. If there was a way to have the notification not expire or be able to see past notification past 90 days.

We are requesting that campusM support Dynamic RelayState
We are trying to create a link to a hidden tile but after we have it created and use the link it takes us to the home page and not the direct link.
6 votesThis capability should work now that Deep Links are out (November 2025 release: https://knowledge.exlibrisgroup.com/campusM/campusM_Release_Notes/2025/campusM_2025_Release_Notes?mon=202511BASE#:~:text=Basics%20page.-,Deep%20Links%20Support,-November%202025 ).
If this still does not work, please open a support ticket.

Send OTC via email
Send the OTC a day in advance to lecturers via email. Users express the need to be able to access the OTC outside the app (native app or online portal).
It would be great if they could tick this option somewhere in the app i.e. "I want to receive the One Time Codes via email"

'Pop-up' notifications when a user selects a tile
It would be great if we could utilise 'pop up' notifications when a user selects a specified module/tile. These messages could appear and act as a prompt for users. They can act as a prompt, and advertising tool, or even just a temporary messaging service. Please see the screen recording of a different app that utilises it and how well it can work. The software company that I have worked with (from the screen recording) also allows the functionality whereby you can chose to allow the pop up to be visible either for a set period of time and/or for…

Option to display the room description alongside the name in the timetable
In both the timetable and attendance tile it would be nice to enhance the display of the room number by optionally including the room description as already recorded in the position data.
So rather that just saying: TT0111
It might say TT0111 (Graphics Lab)3 votesWhile we understand the importance of this feature, we've decided not to pursue its implementation.

The addition on search by name and not just email address in attendance viewer
Lecurers cannot search to see an individuals attendance unless we have the student email address to hand which. Can it move to recognise names too.
