   Our library would like you to add a second email address option to those provided in the email dialogue box accessed from My basket so that clients can send a list of items for click and collect to both the Library email and their own email as cc if desired. (Some clients may not wish to use this option, so it should be optional and not essential.)

   Also please add another slot to the dialogue box specifically for the name of the patron to be inserted before the slot for the notes, i.e., Name of patron: John Smith

3. add abstracts scanning in scrolling view

   When Primo (now Promo VE) switched from a book catalog interface to a journal (Central Index) database interface, one new functionality was desired/required by researchers.
   The ability to toggle on/off viewing Abstracts in the results is an important option for real-time exploration. Many scholars perform a preliminary scan of titles to remove obvious non-matches, but they then prefer to view the abstracts from
   possibly important materials before downloading items into their personal databases. What is missing is the ability to select scrolling through records with the abstracts in view. This could either be added as an option on the initial Display Records view or from the Pinned records options. It would be much preferred on the initial display screen, as this would remove one round of selection effort. Almost all other journal index search tools have this option.

4. Allow direct linking from database records without impacting other records

   Database records in the database list behave as other records in Primo.
   You click on a post from the database list/brief display, the record opens itself, and from there you can click on the database link.

   While this makes sense for regular records, this is a bit unnecessary with database records:
   - not many more details are displayed on the detailed view.
   - when looking up a specific database, the only interesting information is the link itself.

   Many users reported that this extra click was annoying as what they want is to access the database. Some of them, especially within medicine, use Primo only to find databases which they will use as a search tool, and they are not used to bibliographic records and the way they work in Primo.
   Primo is currently not designed to divide the direct linking option between regular and DataBase records, which is what we are requesting now: doing so would allow us to switch on direct linking for database records while regular records remain unchanged.

   Database records in the database list behave as other records in Primo.
   You click on a post from the database list/brief display, the record opens itself, and from there you can click on the database link.

   While this makes sense for regular records, this is a bit unnecessary with database records:

5. Reinstate asterisk wild card search

   We used to be able to use an asterisk (*) for searching in advanced search combined with other pre-search filters such as language or material type. This was great for finding all titles in a particular language or all titles in a particular format. This has been removed. Please bring it back!

6. An option for excluding search results from reference lists

   Sometimes search results are not quite relevant because the search keywords appear in enriched data - which I don't see on PNX - like bibliography (a reference list). Though it's not perfect Google scholar has a checkbox option 'include citations'. If Primo gives an option like that it would save the time of users searching more appropriate records.

7. Make citation trail available in the pinned/saved records list and in full records accessed from the saved records list.

   Currently when a user pins or saves an article that has a citation trail, the citation trail does not display in the saved/pinned titles list. When the user accesses the full record from their saved records list the citations trail does not display in the full record either. This is problematic for researchers etc. who may save a number of records without realizing they will lose access to the citation trail. Please make the citations trail available in the saved records list and in full records accessed from the saved records list.

8. Enhanced Hypertext Linking on locals fields to not be affected by pre-filters

   We have added enhanced hypertext linking on fields. However, when users click on these links, pre-filters make only searches for the same specific local field possible. This means that's if local field 31 shows an older version of a journal. When a user clicks on it. It will only search for local field 31 within all other local field 31s. Rather than the title or other fields. It would be helpful if pre-filters weren't affected by enhanced hypertext linking.

9. Enable renewal of interlibrary loans via My Library Account

   It is confusing to users that they can renew some items on loan to them via My Library Account, but not inter-library loans. We would like a configurable Renew option available for inter-library loans in My Library Account. If a user clicked this option, the request for renewal from the user would populate a tasklist in Alma for resource sharing staff to action. If staff proceed to request a renewal from the lending partner, the workflow should connect so that the response and the updated due date flows back through to My Library Account. Currently all renewal requests for interlibrary loans from users have to be done via email. We would prefer to bring this workflow into Alma and connect it up to the workflow for requesting renewals from partners.

10. Enable users to send an enquiry about an existing resource sharing request from My Library Account to a tasklist in Alma

    Currently if users have an enquiry about their resource sharing request they have to contact us separately via email or phone. Since they can see their current requests in My Library Account, it would be great if they could click on an option e.g. 'Send an enquiry about this request' in My Library Account, enter in their query, and Submit. This would then populate a tasklist in Alma (similar to Notes functionality in Leganto/Alma) that resource sharing staff could action and reply to. This would bring this communication workflow into Alma.

11. Embed copyright notice in the resource sharing form to reduce clicks

    Can acceptance of the copyright notice be included on the first page of the resource sharing form? Users should be able to enter request information and accept copyright conditions all in one step.

12. Add library location to advanced search options

    There is currently no way to do a search by location in Primo VE, where a user can choose to search a specific location by selecting one from a pre-populated drop-down menu. Please add this to the Advanced Search options.

13. Make users more aware of results found in other search profile slots/ tabs

    In most Primos, users can search in different search profile slots (Primo VE) or tabs (Primo with a BO), e.g. Library Catalogue, PCI, Everything. However, our users do not switch a lot between the different slots/tabs. The majority performs the whole session in the same slot/tab. In order to make the users more aware of the different slot/tabs and the different content in them, we suggest that on top of the results list the number of results in every defined slot/tab should be displayed. The displayed information should be a link, so that the users can easily switch to the result list in another slot/tab.

15. Improve filtering when searching in Journals

    When we try to filter by year for a journal with multiple locations, it goes to a screen that doesn't contain the filtered year. The search can end up looping back and forth, and one ends up having to click to find more items rather than getting to the year requested. 17. Separate the resource type/facet "dissertations" for PCI (and CDI...) into "dissertations" and "theses"

    Some institutional repositories available through PCI contain a lot of student theses. The resource type/facet "dissertations" contains both dissertations and theses. Users searching for doctoral dissertations and using the facet dissertations end up with a search result consisting of both dissertations and theses. It is not possible to see the difference in Primo. The user have to follow the full-text link to find out what kind of resource it is. This is time-consuming and sometimes misleading.
