Add the option to "generate barcode" in the Quick Cataloging page
I want to generate a barcode in Quick Cataloging and be able to view the barcode on the Quick Cataloging page. Currently, it takes several clicks to get to the Quick Cataloging item's barcode once the item has been created. I'd like to be able to see the barcode before I save the item I'm creating.

Add a new Analytics element Call number prefix
It's found that there is currently not the element Call number prefix in Design Analytics. But in our library, we use call number prefix to identify different shelving locations. And the call number prefix is entered neatly in 852 $k of holdings record. Please add this Call number prefix element to Design analytics. Thank you. Please refer to SF 00654880.

Identify the staff operator who marked an item as missing
When a user marks an item as "missing" in Alma, the history record for the process shows the operator as "System" rather than an operator ID. The operator who made the change should be identified in the history.Managers with the ability to identify the source of a problematic "Missing" status change can engage the source with questions or training as needed.

Change Chronology J numerical values into names of months or seasons in Description field in Physical Item Editor
For the purpose of sorting months in Chronology J, we have to put numerical values in it, for example 05 for May. However, when we generate the Description, 05 would remain 05, so the description would be: v.12 no.5(2019:05). This is printed onto our label for the students to read. It would be better if Alma can automatically convert the numbers into words in the Description field, e.g. v.12 no.5 (2019:May) through the Generate button. Similarly, for seasons in Chronology J, the numerical values are from 21-24. We want Alma to automatically convert the numbers into names of seasons, e.g.…

I would like to suggest that when the cataloger has to create an item and adds barcode, that certain details like Copy ID and Inventory Date are automatically input and saved. Currently when the barcode is inserted, it saves automatically and leaves the page immediately. This delays our work, as we have to go back to edit the item again and insert all other details.

Toggle missing status for Set List created from Shelf Report
Once you run a shelf report and create an itemized set of missing items, it would be much easier to be able to toggle the missing status of these items in one big set, rather than having to do a search of each title and toggling the missing status that way.

Allow "Delete holding records with no items" job to delete holdings attached to POs
The job called "Delete holding records with no items" doesn't support deleting holdings that have attached POs. It seems like this should be an option.

Import jobs with many serial issues crash
Publishing profiles at the bib level will include all items (in an ITM field with the data specified in the inventory enrichment section of the publishing profile). When trying to import these published files, if bibs for a serial have more than 50-100 items, the import job crashes with the error code like: "Import Job 3833572600004617 External system 3833573620004617 File HUscfmissingbarcode...Split file error error parsing leader with data: 14519cas a2210880 a 450"
The only current solution is to manually edit these files with an XML editor to properly split the files.

When Managing In Process Items ability to sort list of items into shelf order
When managing in process items in a work order department we may want to take a device with this list to a shelf of items in call number order e.g. damaged items shelved in call number order or theses ready to be shipped for digitisation. Call number is available as a field, but it's not possible to sort by it (ideally we'd want to sort by normalised call number.

Expand Validate Local Call Number Distinction task to include 050
The Validate Call Number Distinction task should include 050 call numbers and not just local 090 tagged call numbers.
Vendors are sending records with call numbers tagged 050 _4 (LC-type call number assigned by a library other than LC) which are essentially the same as a locally-assigned LC-type call number (090), only they're not included in the validation task. We are encountering lots of duplicate call numbers in our Alma database.

Temporary Location should include Temporary Item Policy
When we pull a volume from the Stacks and put it on the Reserves shelves, we want to change the Item Policy from the Stacks default to a much shorter loan period. When we restore the item to the Stacks we want to restore the Item Policy to what it was. As it is, we have to know what the former policy was for each item and break a large batch of items coming off reserve into multiple files for each Item Policy that is wanted.

Alma doesn't label the header as "Holdings ID" or "Holdings MMS ID" in both the Holdings view and the Physical Item Editor view
We're concerned that Alma doesn't label the header as "Holdings ID" or "Holdings MMS ID" in both the Holdings view and the Physical Item Editor view. Having the field named differently in different views lends itself to some confusion. Currently, the Holdings level ID (PID) appears as MMS ID if you are in Holdings record view. A screen shot is attached.

Provide more output fields for the Shelf Report
When we do the Shelf Report, we wish that Alma can provide more output fields such as last loan Date, last return date，inventory date that will be helpful for us to analyse the result.

Change Physical Item Job should ignore default MARC holdings template when changing location
Also entered as NERS ID 5949 for Next year's enhancement process cycle
When using the Change Physical Items job to change an item's location, we are running into problems because of the way Alma processes this job. Alma creates a new holding with the same data as the original holding and reattaches the items to this new holdings record. If all items are changed to the new location, the original holding is deleted. When creating the new holding, Alma uses the default MARC holding template. Include item creation date in the advanced search options for item records
We have been trying to monitor progress in retrospective cataloguing projects using the advanced search, but run into some problems with options for searching in item records.
We can quite accurately produce sets for items which were last updated within a given date range, but this isn't really fit for purpose. If a cataloguer makes a correction or re-saves at a later date then this will exclude it from retrospective counts, say for the previous month or year.
Having the option to search on item record creation date would provide a much more accurate tool for reporting on work done…

Include in-house and loan usage details in export from physical items search results
Adding the in-house and loan usage to the export would provide easy on-the-fly stats for items, including sets built in-house. Yes I can accomplish this in analytics but in some cases it would be easier to access usage for multiple items within Alma

Make item record note field labels configurable
Currently the labels on the fields in the physical item notes tab are not configurable. We would like to be able to change the labels for these note fields.

Add process type to physical item mapping in import profile
Since we do our own physical processing of new materials, we would like to be able to set the process type to "in process" automatically during batch import. Currently we have to edit each item record after import to set the process type.
The physical item mapping section of the inventory information tab should allow mapping the process type to a MARC field and subfield, like it does for other item data.
