Add NLM Classification to Analytics
We would like to see NLM classification as an option in Analytics. We have a substantial Health Sciences Library and Med Center, and this would be quite useful for this area of reporting.
98 votesNLM Classifications were added to Analytics.
A new sub-folder titled “NLM Classifications” is available in the Other Classifications dimension table.

Replacement Costs in Analytics represented as a number
Currently they are represented as text. You have to manipulate the Excel file to get them to become numbers. However, it would be nice if they exported as numbers, or were numbers in Analytics, for easier manipulation of the data.
2 votesThis ideas exchange is complete.
The replacement cost no longer works as a decimal number.
It now behaves as follows, correctly filtering for example by less than or equal to 50: -
Run a report of items by fund code in Analytics
A colleague wanted to know the usage stats for books he had purchased over a certain period of time. This would have been easiest by running a report including items, his fund code, and the relevant fiscal years. This is currently not possible - Dewey range reports inevitably miss some titles.
Can the Funds Expenditure and Physical Items SAs be made compatible?

Add Proxy Users to "Users" subject area
Adding Proxy Users to analytics would allow us to search for users that are proxies to another user, and also users that have proxies for themselves.
This information isn't completely available within Alma, and it seems like an oversight that it's also unavailable in Analytics.
63 votesThe User Details subject area has been enhanced with the following improvements:
You can now create reports with fields from different folders as is possible in other subject areas.
The User Measures dimension was added, which contains measure fields relating to the number of users.
The following fields were added under the User Details dimension:
Cataloger Level – the cataloger level of the patron
Patron Letters Opt In – the letters for which the patron has opted in
Patron Letters Opt Out – the letters for which the patron has opted out
Has Role Other Than Patron – indicates if the patron has a role other than Patron
Has Role Other Than Patron and Instructor – indicates if the patron has a role other than Patron and Instructor

Make 245 $p, $n, $s, $k, $f, $g part of "Title" criteria in Analytics &/or make them available as separate criteria
Currently, the Analytics criteria “Bibliographic Details – Title” returns the 245 $a and $b in combination. This leaves out a good portion of the information needed to distinguish titles in series or parts from one another. Works of classical music are another area which require information from the other subfields for clarity. In the case of many archival materials, the current results leave the title field completely blank or skip many records, as there is no data recorded in either 245 $a or 245 $b. (Please see the attached file for examples.)
In order to use these reports in any…167 votesThe Title (Complete) field was added to the shared Bibliographic Details dimension in every subject area in which it appears. It includes the information from MARC field 245, subfields $p, $n, $s, $k, $f, $g.

Report on Holdings 866 subfields x and z in Analytics
We use the 866 $x to store campus affiliation notes, which are used to direct materials to the Archives at point of removal. Currently you must go through a multi-step process, including exporting bib records with holdings info and using MarcEdit to extract the 866 $x notes. Then you must merge the data in Excel or Access in order to associate the note with the weeding report generated from Analytics.
52 votesHello,
We are happy to inform you that you now have the option to include Holdings field 866 $x and $z in reports in Analytics.
The Physical Items SA has 2 new fields -
Summary Holdings Non Public Note - 866 $x
Summary Holdings Public Note - 866 $z

Tableau access to Analytics (Alma & Primo)
Hi ExLibris
A number of institutions use Tableau (market leading BI platform) for Library Analytics
It would be awesome if ExLIbris would open/allow Alma & Primo Analytics to connect with Tableau (or other similar BI tools)
Currently Tableau can connect with Oracle BI (OBIEE) (which Alma/Primo Analytics use) but we need the connection
details and network access - refer documents below• https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=4WKBtLB1W5o
• http://kb.tableau.com/articles/knowledgebase/tableau-and-obiee
• https://www.biconnector.com/ExLibris users: Please post in the comments below if you use Tableau - or if you use a similar tool for Library Analytics please post the details
Cheers

Adding ability for reporting based on 008 holdings field
I would like to see the ability to have reports based on 008 fields specifically method of acquisition (purchase, gift, depository, etc. ), retention coding and lending policy.

Retain Statistical Identifiers
Right now when you have all the Anonymization jobs set to run, only four elements remain in a checkout history of an item related to the patron details: User Group, Job Category, Record Type, and Account Type.
This makes the use of the Statistical identifiers not very effective to measuring checkout usage with them. We have them currently set to be the user's major/department. We would like to know usage by major/department, but cannot get this information with Anonymization jobs turned on.
Any chance the Statistical Identifiers could also remain in the loan history in Analytics.

Add URL to einventory analytics for both electronic collections and portfolios
Generating a list of URLs that relate to either portfolios or electronic collections would be hugely useful. The Export URLs job that currently exists in Alma doesn't attribute URLs to resources, and also isn't complete (can't handle parser details).

Add fund description to analytics Fund Expenditure Subject Area
We want to add Fund Description to our Budget Status report but in testing have noticed that the Alma Fund Type is stored in the Fund Description field (this is in the Fund Ledger Dimension) instead of the Fund Description setup in Alma. The Fund Type field in Analytics is being used to store if the fund is an Allocated, Ledger or Summary fund. We don't want to lose this Fund information (we need to know if a fund is allocated, ledger or summary) but since the Alma Fund Type is stored in the Analytics Fund Description field there seems…

Add timestamp to all date related dimensions in analytics
Some areas in analytics only have date stamps instead of date+time stamps, so reporting on for example, Events from analytics will only ever bring back the date the event occurred and not the date+time required for auditing.
We'd like all dimension datestamps to have a version of the timestamp which includes the date+time so that they are useful in working out when a transaction occurred and not just the date it happened. This is good for consistency across analytics data as well.
12 votesThis idea may now closed.
This idea was originally entered in 2015.
Since 2015 we have made clear distinctions between the “date” which includes the date and time and the “date” which is only the date.
The “date” which is only the date ends with suffix “(Calendar)”.
For example, in the E-Inventory subject area the folder “Portfolio PO Line” includes both a field “Claiming Date” and a field “Claiming Date (Calendar)”
Additionally, in the new “System Events” subject area “Event Date” folder includes two fields: “Event Date” and “Event Date and Time”.
Thank you.
