I have a request relating to search text so am posting here as comment.
As I construct a search in Advanced Search, if I have already typed a search word and need to change the search criteria and select a different search field in the drop-down menu, my search text is wiped out! So that I have to type it again.
Could Alma keep my text intact when I change search criteria? It is not so uncommon that the first choice of search field is incorrect or not the best and a user needs to finetune it. I find it frustrating that I have to type the text again.
The idea suggested by Mark Engelmann above can help with my scenario likewise. When I move my cursor away from the search text box, the system may highlight the text but there is no need to jump ahead and delete it.
