An error occurred while saving the comment Susan Martinovich commentedSome of the TAFE colleges in Western Australia would also like to have this functionality but within ALMA, as we can't use add-ons due to IT policies. when we had Voyager an in-house IT person made a program that we used to scan the shelves and could find by colour coded screens issues with the physical items. including wrong library, Lost and missing, wrong collection etc. It worked really well for stocktaking and issues could be fixed quickly. So yes a live stocktaking system would be beneficial and something that is missing in ALMA.

This would be a great idea and would help the institutions with NZ. I have 5 ALMAs that need to be updated with the same records but they all have different URLs. I have a list of over 30 records - over 150 records I have to manually upload and add the URL to. Extremely time consuming and then having to check each is working. I have the records in the NZ but can't any way to add them to the electronic collection in the IZs, the only way is manually, which is doing my head in the same 30 + records added five times. I can't even get a set from the NZ to load into the IZ or save to the IZ. So a way to add records to an electronic collection from NZ to IZ would be a great time saver. So how about some easier ways to link records from NZ to IZ.
