How can we improve Rialto?

You've used all your votes and won't be able to post a new idea, but you can still search and comment on existing ideas.

There are two ways to get more votes:

  • When an admin closes an idea you've voted on, you'll get your votes back from that idea.
  • You can remove your votes from an open idea you support.
  • To see ideas you have already voted on, select the "My feedback" filter and select "My open ideas".

  1. Better publisher filters in Rialto query builder

    It is difficult to exclude publishers from a DDA pool due to poor filter design in Rialto. The filters rely on keyword matching rather than controlled values. This allowed unwanted publishers' books to enter our DDA pool, and the removal process was tedious and highly error prone, taking months to complete. Rialto needs better publisher filtering so unwanted publishers do not enter the DDA pool at all. One possibility is that publisher names could be a controlled vocabulary selected via a dropdown menu.   2. Publisher exclusion list

    We'd like to create a list of publishers to exclude from feeds and selection plans. Having a list that we could access within the query builder would save us time when creating feeds and plans as well as reduce maintence.
