Configure Rapid Library Name and Address Information to Import into ILLiad Properly
Currently Rapid library address information imports into ILLiad with only the library symbol and a generic name, (i.e. New: Main Library or New: Odyssey Sender). In order to produce statistics including those necessary for the ALA RUSA STARS Quadrennial International Interlibrary Loan survey, staff must manually edit every Rapid library address. This takes an inordinate amount of staff time. Please configure Rapid so that all of the address information including country import into the correct ILLiad fields.

This is a very important improvement suggestion, especially for libraries that rely on accurate metadata exchange between systems like RapidILL and ILL workflows. Properly configuring library name and full address information would significantly reduce manual corrections and improve data consistency across platforms such as ILLiad and reporting tools. It would also help ensure smoother statistical reporting and reduce administrative workload caused by incomplete or generic imported records. For more clarity on related terms and documentation context,https://lawdefiner.com/ can also help in understanding how structured data and status fields are interpreted in systems. Standardizing this kind of information at the system level would be a big step forward in improving efficiency and data quality in interlibrary loan operations.

This would be very helpful! Currently, if you want to know where items are coming from you have to go through several steps in order to find the information. The benefit of using ILLiad is that you can do (almost) everything in one system.

Hi XNXubd vpn browser apk,
Here are screenshots from the Rapid Library Directory for the libraries that correspond to the ILLiad address screenshots below. As you can see, Rapid doesn't seem to have basic mailing address information for libraries. Rapid needs to fix this. Libraries need data.

Hi XNXubd vpn browser apk,
Are you with Rapid/Ex Libris? It sounds like you may be. The problem is with the data for the library. The rapid request comes in with all of the citation information however, the information about the borrowing library imports into ILLiad with only the generic names of "New Main Library" or "Odyssey Sender." I've attached two screenshots from ILLiad to show how little information imports from Rapid into ILLiad. New Rapid addresses are mostly blank fields. Rapid needs to ensure that more library data than the library symbol imports into ILLiad address records. Editing these address records to add of the information we need to abide by license agreements, print shipping labels, and pull statistics for the ALA International Interlibrary Loan Survey is VERY time intensive. If you have an easy solution in the ILLiad customization manager, please share a screenshot of your settings. Otherwise, Rapid is lacking in essential data points that libraries need and this needs to be fixed. I can't attach corresponding Rapid library directory entries to this when editing - see next post for those.

If Rapid requests aren’t importing cleanly into ILLiad, it usually means the Rapid library symbol, name format, or address fields don’t match what ILLiad expects. To fix that, you need to update the Lending Library records inside ILLiad so they line up with the data Rapid sends. And if you're downloading mods from different platforms, it’s safer to browse with something like the https://xnxubdvpn-browser-apk.id secure vpn browser apk to avoid harmful links.

Correct and complete address information For Rapid libraries is important both in terms of day to day processing (library identification, receiving etc.) as well as the international resource sharing & licensing implications, as already cogently commented upon by others.

We are not ILLiad users, and work directly in Rapid rather than import requests there - but I would add here that being able to see on the request itself exactly where/who is filling it would be very helpful, since as you point out that info is vague beyond what is generally a library's OCLC code.
We also only use Rapid for copies, not physical book lend/borrow.

We especially need the library's country to come in accurately, both to comply with licenses for e-materials and in case we receive RapidR loan requests
