How can we improve RapidILL?

You've used all your votes and won't be able to post a new idea, but you can still search and comment on existing ideas.

There are two ways to get more votes:

  • When an admin closes an idea you've voted on, you'll get your votes back from that idea.
  • You can remove your votes from an open idea you support.
  • To see ideas you have already voted on, select the "My feedback" filter and select "My open ideas".

  1. Capability to refine Digital Article requests and prevent them from being sent unless an offer is identified

    Digital Article requests can be placed via RapidILL regardless of the availability of items. It can therefore happen that patron users request articles which are not present in any library collection, or that would be available but only in libraries where no digitization service is offered (resp. libraries which are no RapidILL partner).
    This can lead to additional workload for staff users, who need to check pending requests to verify if there is any available item/partner or if they must be cancelled, and consequently also contact patron users to notify the unfulfilled request.
    We therefore suggest introducing a refine functionality…

  2. Alma Borrowing Request Note

    The Alma Borrowing Request Note should appear on all Rapid Lending requests: Rapid interface, Alma ISO and all other platforms
