We welcome your ideas for new content (metadata) to add to the Knowledge Bases (KBs - Alma CZ, SFX, 360) and Discovery services (CDI - Central Discovery Index whose data supports Primo and Summon).
- Check if your idea has already been posted and vote for it before posting a new idea.
- Choose the right category: "New Provider" for content from a provider that has no available content in the KBs or CDI, or "Existing Provider" for content from a provider that already has content available in the KBs or CDI.
- Add a direct link to the provider/resource you suggest, and a contact person if possible.
- For enrichment requests add the relevant collection ID(s).
- Make sure you mention any specific added value your idea has to the community such as language or supporting diversity.
- Did you find errors in an existing collection? please open a case.
- A new year has begun but no corresponding annual collection? post an idea in Idea Exchange, make sure to mention if it is an existing provider.
- Existing Provider - if your idea is for a new collection from a provider that already has content available in the KBs and CDI or enriching records for an existing collection, use this category. No voting is necessary, ideas for existing providers will be handled regardless of voting.
- New Providers - if your idea is for content from a provider that does not have any content available in the KBs and CDI, choose this category.

Improve Knowledge Unlatched Open Research Library's bibliographic records
All bibliographic records for KU Open Research Library contain the minimum of information, except for those titles that overlap with DOAJ and other OA collections. Can these bib records be enhanced, please?

History Makers Digital Archive is currently available in the CZ as a database with 0 portfolios. The vendor has MARC records available for download, but this would require our small Technical Services team to download, add, and maintain over 3,000 records manually which is not feasible for us.
Is there a possibility for History Makers to be added as an electronic collection with its associated portfolios to Alma's CZ to improve discovery?

HistoryMakers cannot send us metadata appropriate for use in the KBs without risking mismatches.
Therefore we will display the available metadata only in CDI, and this idea will be closed.

Update Bloomsbury Education and Childhood Studies
We activated the Education & Childhood Studies CZ collection but are waiting for the CZ collection to be updated to reflect the 2023 autumn update. We set our collection so that new portfolios are automatically updated but the collection doesn't seem to have been updated since 27/09/23. There are currently 189 titles in the collection, the latest creation date being 26/02/2023. My colleague has checked a few of the new titles just for the sake of completeness and although they are in the CZ they aren't in the Education & Childhood Studies collections as yet.

Add a collection of PQDT collection to our CZ.
For China users, PQDT full text content is hosted in Beijing Zhongke platform, rather than in PQ platform. As far as I know, Zhongke PQDT content has been added in 360 KB. Could you please refer to below information and add it into CZ ？

ACM Digital library with ejournals, proceedings, & newsletters
We created this Selective Package collection to represent these journal titles. ACM has recently made some changes in Summer of 2020 that caused the old links to no longer work. My request is that you would look into creating a Journal - Selective Package collection with links to the Archive section of the site. Meanwhile, I have corrected my links so they work.

Enable linking to Ministry Matters full text content in the legacy or research library
Create effective links from discovery to content in the Ministry Matters research library (and its legacy library). The links that are produced today (on our 360 Link pages anyway) do not deliver the user to the full text to which a library is subscribed. Instead, they land users on a product page where it looks like they need to buy the book. In 2020, our library and then ExLibris each tried in vain to get Abingdon Press to produce updated title lists and URLs that would resolve from subscribers' discovery services/link resolvers to legacy research library on its Ministry Matters…

For ASME digital collection journals, we are waiting for the provider to send us an updated title list.

Add database for Skillsoft Percipio french titles
Ex Libris recently added two new databases (AABQT & ANMXM) with English titles available in Skillsoft's Percipio based on content lists that we provided (original case 06845269). This was very helpful to us! We've also procured French titles in Percipio; could we please add these as another database so that our users can search them in Summon along with our other Percipio titles? I've attached the list of titles with permalinks.

According to Skillsoft, They do not sell a "French" only collection for Percipio.
They requested that if we create such a collection we will restrict the activation to Environment Canada only which we cannot accommodate.
In this case I would suggest creating a local collection with the title list you have.
