Content
We welcome your ideas for new content (metadata) to add to the Knowledge Bases (KBs - Alma CZ, SFX, 360) and Discovery services (CDI - Central Discovery Index whose data supports Primo and Summon).
- Check if your idea has already been posted and vote for it before posting a new idea.
- Choose the right category: "New Provider" for content from a provider that has no available content in the KBs or CDI, or "Existing Provider" for content from a provider that already has content available in the KBs or CDI.
- Add a direct link to the provider/resource you suggest, and a contact person if possible.
- For enrichment requests add the relevant collection ID(s).
- Make sure you mention any specific added value your idea has to the community such as language or supporting diversity.
- Did you find errors in an existing collection? please open a case.
- A new year has begun but no corresponding annual collection? post an idea in Idea Exchange, make sure to mention if it is an existing provider.
- Existing Provider - if your idea is for a new collection from a provider that already has content available in the KBs and CDI or enriching records for an existing collection, use this category. No voting is necessary, ideas for existing providers will be handled regardless of voting.
- New Providers - if your idea is for content from a provider that does not have any content available in the KBs and CDI, choose this category. The ideas for new providers will be annually prioritized via the CERV process.
- Other - for non provider specific ideas

Make Article-level Linking Immune to Provider Changes in Consortia Collections
At least in the German-speaking market (feel free to comment below if this is true for your country as well!) it is very common for consortia contracts on e-resource collections that the subscription for any title contained in the collection persists even if that title is subject to a provider change. So, typically, at the very beginning of the contract all titles of the particular collection are hosted by one and the same provider and over the time several titles get acquired by other providers without causing them to drop out of the collection - at least in terms of…

Mass Observation Project, Module IV: 2010s
AM (formerly known as Adam Matthew), a longstanding provider-partner of Ex Libris, has released a new module in the Mass Observation Project collection. It is Module IV: 2010s. AM says they have sent the records to Ex Libris, so could Ex Libris please work with AM to load the records for this collection? Please load their full MARC records, not just their KBART file, so libraries can use robust CZ MARC records for this collection. We've been very happy with the full MARC records Ex Libris has been able to load for AM collections, so we're hopeful this collection will…

Enhanced enrichment of Access medicine from McGrawhill
Got this from support:"Access Medicine is provided by McGraw Hill - they are included in the list at https://knowledge.exlibrisgroup.com/Content/Knowledge_Articles/Alma/Knowledge_Articles/Community_Zone_Monograph_Records_Enrichment. We enrich their records when new files become available to us; at this time they don't send us new files on a fixed schedule. If you'd like us to talk with McGraw Hill about enriching/improving the records included in Access Medicine, you can submit a request via the Idea Exchange (http://ideas.exlibrisgroup.com/forums/574345-content)"
In other words, enrichement is already set up but the update schedule can get improved.
5 votesHello,
We have reviewed our enrichment protocols for Access Medicine, and confirmed the enrichment schedule is aligned with what the provider sends us.

All MARC records in the Alma Community Zone should be sorted chronologically between MARC fields 500 - 899.
The fact that the MARC fields between 500 and 899 are not sorted chronologically for all Alma Community Zone MARC records makes it difficult for us to use the “Collections” function in Primo.
In the Collections function in Primo, we display the author on the overview page in addition to the title. The author is displayed via a small script in Primo. This script takes the “au” field from the PNX record of the title or, if “au” is not available, the “addau” field and displays the first value from “au” or “addau” in the title overview of the collections.…40 votesHello,
We have created an XSL normalization rule, and now this has been fixed.
You can read more about this here
https://developers.exlibrisgroup.com/blog/alma-xsl-normalization-rule-examples/.
In addition, see also “An XSL stylesheet to sort fields” in https://developers.exlibrisgroup.com/blog/alma-xsl-normalization-rule-examples/
and test the the applied normalization on MMS ID 9931255818600041 in Community Zone.

Enrich Bibliographic Records for Kanopy Base collection
We appreciate the addition of the Kanopy Base Kanopy BASE (Kanopy BASE US Collection- CID 61138888930006991) collection in the CZ. It will make management easier as the collection is refreshed rather frequently. We suggest enriching the bibliographic records of the titles within the collection. As it now stands, there are no subject headings for the 10,000 records in the collection, making discovery nearly impossible and of little use to our users.
20 votesHello,
I am pleased to inform that the Kanopy collections have been enriched, and have been setup with automatic monthly enrichment.

New Database Request - Wiley Read and Publish 2026-2028 (Reading list) - 360 KB
A new Jisc agreement has been released for Wiley Read and Publish covering 2026-2028. We need a new database in 360 KB to reflect the current collection and replace the now out-of-date database that covered the 2024-2025 agreement [Wiley:Jisc Collections:Wiley Read and Publish Open Access 2024-2025 (reading list), HGLYW]
We also need article-level linking. HGLYW has article level linking in place and the platform has not changed so the same linking principles should still apply.
