Make adding a student note more visible in the 'Add & Edit' workflow in the new UI
In the Classic UI instructors could see a field to add Student notes as soon as they click 'Add and Edit', now when instructors select this the screen opens on an Item details tab that enables them to edit the metadata - an activity that instructors rarely do, and to add a student note they need to click in to the 'Item actions' tab, which is not intuitive to navigate at all.
We would like the 'Add & Edit' workflow to default to opening on the item actions tab as this is where the activities that are a priority to instructors sit, or to be able to set these defaults ourselves.

Totally agree; it would be better if Item actions was the default view both in the Add and Edit screen and in the Edit Citation screen. We want to encourage instructors to add tags and student notes for the benefit of their students. Changing bibliographic details should not be necessary for academic staff to worry about. It just adds extra clicks for instructors and they will be less likely to add additional information of this nature.

Would definitely like an option where we could configure which tab the View/Edit item opens to by default.
