  1. Set order of RSS feeds

    RSS feeds.

For RSS feeds, on the Add/Removes Fields page, they are listed alphabetically, but on the actual RSS page, they are listed randomly. They should at least be alphabetical by default. We would like option to set their order.

  4. As an App Manager I want to be able to choose display order of categories in the "Report a problem" drop-down

As a App Manger, I want to have the ability to sort up the Problem/App page categories using the Up and Down buttons similar to ones offered on the App Settings -> App profiles screen.

This will help to fix the sorting issue, which is: on iOS and desktop, the added Problem App Category items are displayed in different sorting order. Neither they've been sorted up alphabetically as generally expected. (Please see the screenshot for more details.)

  5. Provide Security Controls for Asset Manager

There is currently no way to provide users with specific, limited content access, a way to upload images or other resources to the Asset Manager.

Therefore they are unable to truly manage their own content.

  6. Position Action to be available for multiple positions

When configuring a position action, which could be a link, for e.g. "Bus stops - Timings", that needs to be configured across multiple positions surrounding the university. it would be beneficial to have a mapping to a Position Action, from within the Position configuration itself.

  7. Add ability to customise the Home recent icon to App Manager

At the moment the Home recent icon displays as 4 blue squares and this does not match our institutions brand.

Can App Manager be extended to pick up the Home recent icon from App Manager, i.e., allow users to add a recents home icon to the Asset Manager and assign it as the Home Recent in App Builder.

    Thanks

  9. Support SVG for Tiles.

Our main barrier from adding support for SVG at the moment is a lack of browser support on older versions of Android (before 4.4 - http://caniuse.com/#feat=svg).

Perhaps this can be added in the future.

  11. Ability to customise the Android logo + related logo/brand items

At the moment there is no way to customise the Android logo this leads to inconsistent visual branding.

Enterprises/institutions often use logo variations to address official branding guidelines. For example, a restricted space version of the official logo that is mandated to be used when there is little available space. Such restricted space logos often reduce or totally remove typography to avoid issues of logo/brand integrity that occur when only 30 or 40 pixels of square space is available.

Also, assuming this functionality is added it may be worthwhile to consider placing all the logo and branding (i.e., splash screens…

  12. Allow items to be sorted in AppManager screens

Allow sorting in the AppManager screens. When these are in different orders on Dev, Test, UAT and Live it makes it more likely an error will occur copying values from one environment to the next. For example if the Profiles are Student and Student SSO in Live and I want the same values in Test but the order is reversed it's more likely I'll copy the wrong value. The more items displayed the more likely this will happen, whereas if the items could be sorted (alphabetically or by sort order) comparing across screens would be easier.

  13. Add to the selection of phones available for preview in App Manager

Please could the list of phones/devices available for preview be updated in the App Manager.

There have been a significant number of larger screen phones released in the last few years and the app manager currently does not render these devices making it hard to see how campusM looks on a large screen.

To simplify the previewing of devices, we have simply switched to allowing customers to choose form factors for iOS and Android. So now you select Mobile or Tablet, and the most common default pixel dimensions are selected.

  14. Make App Manager more user friendly

Here's a quick mock of some elements that would make the app manager - app settings easier to use. And also a mock on how to make 'Person roles' more useful.

Rename and reorder group menu items for better daily use.
    Three main groups

    1. Application set-up.
A once off that can be collapsed and out of the way once done.

    2. User management
Profile items order in the only way they can be created and edited.
Profile items rename to be self explanatory

    3. Content
Content publishing moved up as it is more highly used

  15. Review changes before publishing

Before publishing any new content, aek etc to the app it would be useful to be able to view a breakdown of what changes have been made since the last publish.

  16. Ability to order location positions

I’ve noticed when updating Positions in the App Manager and these changes are then published the changed position then appears at the bottom of the list in the app. It appears that the positions in the app are ordered in chronological order from least to most recently updated.

it should be possible to order the list alphabetically (perhaps by default) or the order should be definable in a similar way to the way the descriptions can be.

  17. Launch screen button - content quick view from app builder when selecting menu options

As an app content manager, I would like to be able to preview the content associated with a given menu option in the app builder, so that I don't have to switch to other screens to check what content is set up

    On the app builder: https://appmanager.ombiel.com/app-builder

It would be great if when you click on a menu option, the menu on the right has a button that allows you to preview the pocket guide info or the AEK screen.

  18. Display App version in Support emails

As a member of the IT support team, I would like to receive support emails that contain the app version, so that I can debug issues more effectively

When a user reports a problem with the app, the phone model is displayed so the iOS vs Android version can be distinguished however the app version is not displayed so if there is a user running an older version of the app it isn't obvious and that could be the cause of the issue or something which has been resolved in the newer version of the app so it would be…

  19. Tagging for AEK screens and menu options

As an app content manager, when updating AEK screens and menu options I would like to see tags that provide details about the type of authentication used, so that I can easily identify whether the content I'm working on belongs in an SSO or LDAP profile

As a user of SSO on desktop and LDAP authentication on native apps we have to duplicate our AEK screens as we need subtlely different code in each. This has made use of App builder very error prone as it's not clear whether you're looking at an SSO menu tile or native auth. That…

  20. Isolating publishing in App Manager to User log-in

As an app content manager, I would like be able to publish only the content I'm working on, so that I don't accidentally publish unfinished content that other app content managers are updating at the same time

Currently publishing in the App Manager does not allow different users to publish in isolation of everyone else.  The result is that if several people are working in the App manager at the same time whoever publishes first potentially forces all updates to be published regardless of readiness.
