Clarification on API Rate Limits for Alma Refreshes in Sandbox Environments?

I’m hoping someone from the product team or a fellow admin can clear something up for me regarding the upcoming changes outlined in the latest release notes.
We are currently planning a major data migration project that relies heavily on automated API scripts running in our sandbox environment. With the new infrastructure updates rolling out next month, I noticed a brief mention of optimized traffic management, but it wasn't entirely clear if the standard API threshold limits for sandbox instances are being adjusted alongside production.
Specifically, will the daily API call cap for premium sandboxes be increased during the scheduled maintenance windows, or do we still need to request a temporary threshold lift via a support ticket for high-volume data refreshes? I want to make sure our scripts don't trigger a 429 error and halt our testing schedule once the new updates go live.
