Alma Analytics – Is There a Way to Track Changes to Item Location Automatically?
Hi everyone, I’m currently working with Alma Analytics and ran into a specific issue that I’m hoping someone here has experience with. I need to track when an item’s permanent location changes (for example, when items are moved between collections), and ideally I’d like to report on these changes over time in Analytics.
From what I can see, the current location is easy to report, but I’m not sure if there’s a way to capture historical location changes automatically without building a custom process. Is there a field, history table, or recommended workflow that allows tracking and reporting on location change history?
If anyone has done something similar (especially using Analytics or APIs), I’d really appreciate some guidance or examples of how you set it up. Thanks in advance! geometry vibes

Players can modify their Roblox game experience with a variety of tools thanks to a popular application called Delta Executor. https://delta-ios.com/

A script execution mechanism called Delta Executor was created primarily for Roblox, enabling users to use their own scripts. https://delta-executor.co/

Hey geometry vibes, that's a tricky one! I haven't tackled that exact reporting challenge, but I totally understand the need for location change history. It reminds me of playing agario sometimes – one minute you're a big blob cruising along, the next, poof, eaten and back to square one! I wonder if there's some kind of log file Alma keeps in the background. Hopefully, someone with more Alma wizardry can chime in. Good luck!

Hey! That's a tricky one. I've messed around with Analytics for similar tracking needs, and it's definitely not always straightforward. Reporting current location is easy, like you said, but history...ugh. I haven't found a pre-built "location change history" report either. What I have tried (with limited success) is playing with the item history and seeing if location changes trigger an event that can be captured. It's messy, and you need to filter a LOT.

Hey! That's a tricky one. I haven't worked with Alma Analytics specifically, but I totally get the pain of tracking dynamic data! Reminds me of playing agario sometimes – one minute you're cruising along, feeling big, and the next, someone sneaks up and poof, you're gone! Maybe look into setting up some kind of event listener triggered by the permanent location field? I know it's a basic thought, but it's a starting point.

To improve video accessibility in digital archives, Rosetta should support complex subtitle migrations. Integrating a tool for seamless [SRT to ***](https://subtitlebatchtool.com/tools/srt-to-***) conversion would greatly help institutions preserve accurate text formatting and metadata for their multimedia assets.
