Create a way to distinguish volumes for a single title
There is a title in Gale resources, Encyclopedia of African-American culture and history : the Black experience in the Americas, that has several portfolios available. Each portfolio links to a different volume in Gale. Each portfolio has unique linking but if you see the title in Primo, you will see only the title listed, many times. I had to add a volume note to each portfolio so users could tell each title apart. This was not the only title I've found that is like this. Ex Libris stated there is no way to add the volume to the title. It…
249 votesHi all,
Thank you for this idea.
To be able to better analyze the need, are there additional examples you can share of portfolios linked to the same bib but representing different volumes/parts/episodes/etc.?
Would you say this field should allow local overrides?
Thanks,
Alma product team.

Include "Dismiss Selected" button on the bottom of the page
When scrolling through the Community Zone Updates Task List, you need to scroll back up to the top of the page to click the "Dismiss Selected" button. It would be most helpful if the same function could be applied at the bottom of the page as well.
50 votesHi all,
With the move to the new CZUTL interface planned for 2026 we will have the entire top bar, including the bulk actions, remain 'sticky' as we scroll through the page.
Best,

Prevent deletion of portfolios with access type perpetual or current plus perpetual
When deleting portfolios individually or through a batch process, add a feature to flag/warn about portfolios with perpetual or current plus perpetual for the access type before they are deleted. It could be similar to the message and process you run into upon trying to delete a portfolio with an active po line or a physical holding with an active po line. My library's portfolios attached to larger collections often do not have PO lines (as much of this work was done in our former library system prior to Alma migration). Adding a perpetual access type to portfolios is relatively…

Thank you for supporting this idea and for the constructive comments.
Recognizing how important it is for libraries to preserve owned content, we’re committed to supporting these goals.
Regarding the discussion around CZ-linked owned resources, I’d like to bring a related idea to your attention—one that might help complete the picture. https://ideas.exlibrisgroup.com/forums/308173-alma/suggestions/44864398-create-option-to-keep-czutl-deleted-portfolios-act

Add Day or Week embargo option
When setting Coverage Information, current embargo options are to enter a number of months or years. Some publishers have a 2 week, or 14 day embargo; we cannot enter embargo information for these. Adding a Day and/or Week option would allow this information to be added.
153 votesHi all,
we're researching the technical background of this idea and wanted to verify whether adding an 'embargo days' option will be sufficient here, in addition to the existing months and years option
thanks, Liza

1 voteDear community,
I am writing to inform you of a recent change that affects the status of an enhancement you have created or supported in the Idea Exchange:
As part of our ongoing commitment to align our internal development processes and increase roadmap transparency with our community, some Ideas that were previously marked as “Planned” have been reassigned a status of “Accepted”.
The “Accepted” status signifies that the Alma Product Management team recognizes the value of these Ideas and is committed to their development. However, enhancements are not expected to make it onto The Roadmap in the next year.
We believe that this change will ultimately benefit our user community by providing a more realistic and transparent view of Alma development. We appreciate your understanding and patience as we implement this change.
Most sincerely,
Tamar Fuches

Add ‘Bokbasen’ as a new provider in the Upload Electronic Holding functionality in Alma
The collection Bokbasen Allvit (which contains Norwegian academic e-books) is now added to CZ. There is a need for a solution for the administration of this collection. The library administrator can at any time purchase a new time-limited e-book license or change the budget for pay-per-loan titles. This, in combination with time-limited licenses expiring at different times and days (365 days after the purchasing date) will cause the catalogue of available titles to change continuously. The catalogue will also be different per institution. In order to provide the end-user with accurate information about the availability for each institution, there is…

Improve 'Electronic Resource Activation Task List' Management
The Electronic Resource Activation Task List does not adequately cover the multiple tasks and steps that operators need to complete during the resource's lifecycle. For example, for most electronic resources, there are usually multiple tasks in progress simultaneously (e.g., entering the EZProxy stanza on the server, ensuring admin access to the publisher's site). But because the Electronic Resource Activation Task List allows only one status to be assigned to a resource, there is no way to manage multiple simultaneous tasks nor easily determine what task has already been completed. This results in double handling and inefficient use of managing our…

When entering dates of coverage in portfolios, make it all click through tabs
Before the Nov. 2016 release, when you entered dates/vol/issue numbers in the portfolio coverage, each space could be clicked into, then tabbed to the next one. Now each time you enter a year, the system saves and you must click into the next box. This slows down the work and adds more clicking. Can we go back to just tabbing until the final save?

Pick the fields that can be exported to Excel in a set
Currently, we are limited by a pre-determined list of fields that we can export from a set. E.g. If i have a set of "Electronic Collections" or "Electronic Portfolio" records, why can't i export the URL field? Many other useful fields are also not available. Is this a challenge technically?
