Change Repository Search "Contains" to drop-down to enable searching "Contains Phrase", "Starts With", and "Equals"
In the repository search simple search, the only search operator you can use when searching available indexes is contains (e.g., FIND all titles WHERE title CONTAINS ____.
We would like to request that the CONTAINS operator be turned into an advanced-style dropdown menu to enable searches like this:
FIND all titles WHERE title CONTAINS PHRASE ____
FIND all titles WHERE title STARTS WITH ____

Improve Booleian searching in repository by including 'not' option
Currently there is no option to use a 'not' function in a repository search, there is only 'and' & 'or'. The ability to exclude certain records from a search is vital to enable correct records to be isolated for editing/updating. Not having the 'not' option makes it very difficult to narrow down results.

Alma’s search indexes have been designed and built to provide a whole new set of possibilities for searching for inventory based on the full set of bibliographic details and indexes. As a result of this combined enriched bibliographic and inventory search index, certain queries which retrieve the bibliographic titles but also use inventory indexes, can lead to non-intuitive results when used in conjunction with NOT operations. An example of this is the search for titles that don’t have items in library A. If a title has items in library B and in library A, it will still be retrieved. This is a correct result as there is an item that matched the search query, but it is not intuitive to the staff user.Ex Libris will…

"Request re-indexing" option for withdrawn items
There is a re-occurring indexing error in Alma when withdrawing items, where these items sometimes do not disappear from the Alma instance and a re-indexing job must be performed to correct it. These items often cannot be re-activated from "Manage deleted repository" and can't be interacted with. (See attachment)
Ideally, it should be possible to request a re-indexing of the Alma-instance directly in Alma. This could be for a single record or the instance as a whole.

More than one work order type per Word Order Department
In our library, one physical location in the library handles many processes. However, we still want patrons to see a different status for each kind of work order. Right now, only one work order type (the source of the Primo Statuse) can be associated with any given work order department (the currently at location.) So, in order for our patrons to be able to tell the difference between an item at the bindery and an item being repaired in house (with their corresponding turn around time) our staff has to switch currently at locations when they switch tasks. Allow full customisation of the keyword index
Since every institution has a different idea of what constitutes a "key" word, we would greatly appreciate the ability to customise the keyword index for ourselves. A table to allow us to add and remove MARC fields and subfields would be in keeping with much of Alma's back office design.

Ability to see inventory of matched records in 'Side by Side Matching'
It would be very helpful to be able to see the inventory for matched records in 'Side by Side Matching' when working on records with import issues. Currently, it's necessary for me to have Alma open in a second browser and search for each matched title to see which collection the title belongs to, which then influences my decision on how to deal with the new record. This is shown if there is more than one match, but it would be great if it was shown for single matches as well.

Make display thumbail display option configurable based upon user or role
Recently turned on the thumbnail display in Alma. Half liked it, mainly fulfillment, half didn't acq and cataloguing. Maybe possible to make this setting customizable based upon user or Role?

In authority control instead of having the looking glass icon, an icon that indicated the heading was Full or not would be better.

Results from "Browse Shelf Listing" and "Browse Bibliographic Headings" searches should be exportable
When you do a search using "Browse Shelf Listing" and "Browse Bibliographic Headings", the results show up in an editor that does not give you the option to export the search results. The results from these searches are hard (or impossible) to replicate using a search or analytics.

Search bar
Allow for the most recent and/or the most used search facets to display within the simple search bar. Within the search facets options for All titles (Title) Requires someone to scroll at length down the page. This functionality is available in other parts of the new UI within Alma where the most recent used entries display first.

Fuzzy match method is creating too many duplicates with import profiles.
Fuzzy match between author and title is checking too many subfields in MARC-field 100. I.e. 100 $a Øverland, A. O. $d 1855-1911 $q Ole Andreas is matched against 100 $a Øverland, A. O. $d 1855-1911 and is considered not the same person, it seems. When the record also has title in 245 $a which are exactly the same, it is consdered a "not match" and a new record is imported. Show the date a title was added to a collection in the Collection resource editor
When we manage large collections for the Collection discovery service in Alma, it would be useful to see when the titles were added to make periodic checkings and cleanings in the 'Titles list' tab. It could be showed through an additional and optional column.

Import Profiles - Match Profile - Adding a Title only match method
The customer would like to add a Title only match method for CNMARC when loading new records via import profiles.
The title field can be set to 200$a.Because when the ISBNs are matched, the book title may be different for some Chinese books. It would be great to be able to match on the 200$a - main title.

Currently this field (Copyright or Legal Deposit Number) is not indexed in MARC 21 Bibliographic Tag to Search Index Mapping. Would you please add it so that it?

Ability to set records to "do not publish" to OCLC
It would be very helpful if the default value "publish to OCLC" was switched to "do not publish". We have brief records created by Acq. staff and Fulfillment staff and they sometimes forgot to check "do not publish" and these minimal level brief records end up being published to OCLC.

Translate Titles to Items set job
We'd like the ability to truly 'itemize' a set of All Titles / Physical Titles i.e. translate a set of titles uploaded from MMS IDs into a set on which we could run the Change Physical Items job. Many times we want to add an Internal note at the item level to a set, but we can't to sets that have been uploaded as Titles (except to add a local 9**, report on it the next day in analytics, export that report, excise the barcodes, and re-upload a set at the Item level - ridiculous!).

Add additional text in Metadata Editor - Holdings Form
When editing a holdings-record in Metadata Editor when using the holdings form, we would like to see additional text added to the field information to inform the cataloger about which MARC-field they're editing.
For example, when editing the field "Location" there is no information about which MARC-field this belongs to in the record. There should be an additional text next to the field name saying either (MARC-field X/Subfield X) or (XXX $X).

Block Deleted Records from Merge Records and Combine Inventory Process
Currently, when a CSV file is loaded into the "Merge Records and Combine Inventory" process in Alma Resource Management, if the preferred bibliographic record is already deleted from the repository, the merged record attaches to a deleted bib, and is deleted, which is not ideal. We would like to have those merges bounce or error and not merge, or at least be noted in the results file when this occurs, so that staff may manually review or fix that error.

Textual holdings statement fields 866-868
Currently, you are only able to search the 866 field in Alma and Analytics. To record holdings more accurately, the 867 (supplemental material) and 868 (indexes) should be used. We have data stored in these fields and are unable to search/report on them easily. We would like the 867 and 868 fields to be searchable and perhaps even indexed in Alma, and reportable in Analytics. Reporting on any standard MARC field should be possible in both Alma and Analytics.

MD Editor restrict release
We'd like for the ability to release records locked by another staffer to be limited to the Cataloger Extended or Cataloger Manager role, to ensure that not everyone can release records that others may be working on, at will.
