Show in name of person who created the bibliographic record
When reviewing a bibliographic record in the record information section, the ID of the user who created the record is displayed but not the name.
It would be useful if Alma showed the name of the cataloger (and not the ID) currently it is necessary to search by ID later to know who created or modified a bibliographic record.2 votesThis idea has not received sufficient support from the community through votes. automated import profiles - create log file with useful information if process fails
We are finding Alma less than helpful in cases where the automated download fails due to a parsing error. Apart from actually creating a log file as suggested here, there would be other ways to improve this experience.
This is what currently happens:
- for automated import profiles, no log file is created when the process fails, the emailed report simply states that the import failed, there is nowhere in alma where I could find any further information
- because of this, we then need to try and run the import manually, so we can see what the issue is…1 voteThis idea has not received sufficient support from the community through votes. Add Call Number to all Overlap and Collection Analysis Reports that include Print
Add Call Number to all Overlap and Collection Analysis Reports that include Print
The new Title Look Up function that permits comparing a list of print to various electronic collections is excellent. However, the output reports don't include the print call numbers. That would be a significant improvement; staff could then easily use the report to go to the shelves. As it is, we have to do a separate process in Analytics just to get call numbers which seems like a waste of time.

Request for improved functionality "Search bibliographic records matching this value" in Alma's authority repository search.
We request enhancements to Alma's authority repository search function.
Currently, when we click "Search bibliographic records matching this value" from a specific authority record in the search result to move to the bibliographic record list page, we have not be able to back to the authority record list page displayed in the first search.
A Back icon is displayed on the bibliographic record list page, but even if we click it repeatedly, we will not be able to return to the authority list page, and will eventually move to the top screen of Alma.
Returning to the authority record list…14 votesThis idea has not received sufficient support from the community through votes. Add a tab to Manage Sets that shows Sets linked to Publishing Profiles
From Admin - Manage Sets we can see My Sets, Public Sets, and All Sets. It would be useful for there to be a way to more easily distinguish and find sets that are used in Publishing Profiles. As more and more integrations with third party services rely on Publishing (HathiTrust, Google Books, RapidILL, BrowZine, Syndetics, etc.) more and more sets need to be created and maintained and occasionally tweaked if locations or libraries are added, removed, or changed, or if new materials within the sets become unshareable for some reason.
The current workflow to find the right set is…

Improve search for ayn diacritic directly after hyphen
In a romanized Hebrew search when an ayn diacritic appears directly after a hyphen, there is zero results with the expected search: "gozeret ha-orot" (no spaces). This very search has the expected result in Primo but not Alma. That search also works in OCLC Connexion. I was told to use a space instead of a hyphen in Alma, which brought up the record but it is not the way one expects to search in this instance.

Make bibliographic references searchable
Make bibliographic references searchable
MARC21
555__ |a
555__ |dImportant for old prints and manuscripts
555 also includes references that cannot be used in 024 7
So far 500 has to be filled out in addition to 555 to make it searchable

More customization for Duplicate Title Analysis job
Request to be able to further customize the Duplicate Title Analysis job in Alma. For example, include/exclude CZ records and specify resource type (physical/electronic, book/journal/map etc).
Additionally, identifying the "preferred" record is extremely limited. Being able to select the preferred record by MARC/DC field and/or subfield would be helpful.

IZ/CZ symbol display in Record View
Could “Record View” display the symbol to show whether the bib record is IZ or CZ? At the moment, you have to click on Edit and go into the MDE to find out which it is, which is annoying and time-consuming if you don’t need the MDE at that point for any other reason. You may have reached Record View from a route other than a search (e.g. activating an e-resource), so may not have seen the IZ/CZ symbol at a previous stage.

Collection Discovery: Allow several libraries to manage a collection
In the Collection Resource Editor > General tab, we would like to be able to add several libraries to a collection (instead of just one).
When the viewtolibrariesforcollection_discovery Customer parameter is set to true, this would allow to display a collection on several Primo views, for example in case of a shared collection in the IZ which does not belong to a specific library.

Replace the search index label "Creator" with "Author"
the label used for the author index in the title search is confusing, implying that it is the creator of the Alma record, as shown in Alma Analytics, and not the author of the title.

Allow multiple Z39.50 to be setup in Alma
Right we use the only Z39.50 setup for Interlibrary Loan's ILLiad. One of our librarians would like to connect a new Z30.50 to search through Endnote to run systematic reviews. We had previously wanted to use another Z39.50 setup to input a more comprehensive search in Search Resources in Alma. If we can get multiple Z30.50s setup in Alma it would help us connect various sources to Alma and make it more robust.

Display Collection details on a citation record the same as what you see via an Alma All title display
Display Collection details on a citation record the same as what you see via an Alma All title display
We use Collections to group records together to help with our Leganto processing, but you cant see this information from the Citation view. We would like both views to provide the same level of information. The attached screenshot shows what I mean

Show linked purchase requests in 'Other details' beneath title record
It would be great if purchase requests that are linked to titles could be accessible via other routes rather than just the 'Manage purchase requests' section. Please could purchase requests that are attached to a title and a POL be added to the 'Other details' section beneath a title record in a repository search? This would allow us to quickly ascertain which titles have purchase requests linked to them.

Provide ability to turn off the display of Related Records in Alma
Our staff find the appearance of related records in Alma that appear as part of a search result to be distracting and add no value. I'd like to suggest that we get the ability to configure whether these related records appear at all.

Local Authority Automation and Workflow
Currently, Alma requires quite a bit of manual intervention when creating local authority records and linking them to the relevant records in the catalog. In order to relink an authority controlled field (ie. 1XX, 6XX, and 7XX) someone from the library must go through and change the second indicators from 0 to 7 and add a $2 with the local authority profile code. This can be done using normalization rules but it still must be done manually. There are no scheduled jobs that will do this.
An example might be helpful to both show the problem and a possible solution.

Additional Input Parameter Options for Item Description Templates
When creating an Item Description Template it would be very helpful to include additional Input Parameter options such as Permanent Physical Location. We utilize different description orders on our labels dependent upon the different locations items are shelved and there doesn't seem to be a way to distinguish the differing order with the current parameter options. More input parameter options would allow for greater individual institutional nuances and their unique practices.
For example, I could have an unclassed serial shelved in "serials" with material type issue and I want the description to display as:
v.{EnumA} no.{EnumB} {ChronI} {ChronJ}
I could…3 votesHello All,

490's accompanying 830 field display
When you search titles, Alma currently displays 830 in the Series field when traced (490 with a 1 indicator).
However, 830 depending on 490 means that 490 takes precedence. It must be said that the trace which 830 is, is supposed to be used to be able to view 490 by the cataloguers and librarians.
But currently, when using the trace, 490 is not displayed. When you have a 490 field with several $a, you write several 830s.
For example ISBN: 9784043675043.
245 00 $$a Tō enmei.
490 1# $$a Kadokawa bunko ; $$v 13617. $$a Kadokawa sofia bunko ;…3 votesHello All,

Add fields to record historical valuation data
When rare books and other special collections are valued for insurance / exhibition / audit, it would be useful to add this into dedicated fields in the item record for physical inventory or other areas for digital titles. This way, a history of the value of the item can be recorded over time.

Having the ability to configure the presence of all available Licensing terms in the Repository Search in Alma
There are a number of License terms that appear in the Advanced Repository search that are not configurable, that is there is no option to stop them appearing as options to search under in a simple or advanced search.
We want to delete some of these terms from Advanced Search. We want to get rid of the terms that we're not using in our current Licensing workflows (they clog up the search). The terms we want to delete from the Advanced Search are not available to configure in the Alma Configuration Menu > Resources > Search Configuration > Search Indexes.
