Enhance Holdings Records Mapping to include the 007 field and other control fields
Enhance the Holdings Records Mapping feature (new as of March 2018) to include adding 007 fields and other control fields during the import process. Per SalesForce case #00525849, this new feature currently only works with data fields (non-control fields).

LENDING BEING PROCESSED
We would like Digital Lending Requests to be automatically updated to Being Processed once the slip has been printed - in the same that way Physical Lending Requests are updated to Being Processed once a hold has been placed via Manage Fulfillment Options. At the moment they have status Created Lending Request - which means we have to change the status manually.

All RS requests appear in Patron Services as Physical
Resource Sharing requests appear in "Patron Services" with one Request Type: "Patron physical item request". However, in "Resource Sharing Borrowing Requests" there are two types of Requested Format: Physical or Digital. Both types should appear correctly under Patron Services, and not only Physical.

Add DOI to email sent to resource sharing partner
Currently if a DOI is added to a request it isn't included in the email request sent to an email resource sharing partner. The DOI could help identify the correct article more quickly - seems strange that this is not included already

Integration with worldshare
Have Alma and Worldshare ILL talk with each other enough that they share updates with each other. Right now, the only thing we can do is send a new request to WorldShare. All other functions have to be done in both Alma and WorldShare: receive, return, request for renewal, and cancellation.
3 votesThe missing functionality is dependent on WorldShare development. Alma's NCIP server does enable other broker systems such as ILLiad and Tipasa to communicate actions such as receive , return, renewal and cancellation. That requires the broker system (WorldShare) to implement its end of the integration.

Allow truncated resource sharing renewals
When a renewal is requested by a user through Primo, the system appears to automatically ask for a renewal period that equals the loan period which is theoretically fine except that if they request the renewal late enough in their loan it can bump up against the renewal limit or it can bump against the Due Date/Max Renewal Date in the lending side TOU. The main problem here is it doesn't truncate. For example, if you can't get the full 6 week renewal, it doesn't give you ANY renewal at all, it just says no. So it's possible you could…

Resource Sharing Preferred Email Address
We have multiple libraries set up as Resource Sharing Libraries. However as we can only have one preferred email address the Borrowing Resource Sharing Requests are coming from the default email address for the library (usually the information email address), and not the dedicated email address for resource sharing at that library.

Searchable archive of old/completed requests outside active request screen
Too much clutter in active screen. Would be great if this screen only showed new /pending created requests. The facets to the left would then be more meaningful and useful as filters to find specific requests - those sent to partner, those that overdue etc instead of requests with these statuses being presented within the active request mix

Alma Resource Sharing - identifying where chapter only (not book) is required
We sometimes receive physical books where only chapters were requested via Resource Sharing as the chapter details requested by us as the Borrower do not appear in the Lenders view (even although they are also an Ex Libris client). This slows down turn around time and adds postage costs where only scans were required.

OpenURL resolver pass sid in Resource sharing source field
It would be useful if the sid that identifies the source of an openURL could be passed into the Source field of the Resource sharing form in Alma. eg sid=google would add google to the Source field.

Delivery Format Codes
Is there any way to order the delivery format codes, or just have the ones we use regularly. Currently there are several in the drop down list that are not used, there are 14 and we only use 3. It can be difficult to find the one you need sometimes. If we can order them this will stop errors occuring.

Lending: Ship Item Digitally, option to Preview file before sending
When sending a file to another library, it should be possible to Preview the file before sending it to ensure better quality control

Physically Received Items
Once a book has been physically received, it would be great if it automatically linked to the the patron account. This would save me an extra step of having to check out the book out to the patron. Thanks!

Report on workflow profiles assigned to resource sharing partners
We would like the ability to report on the workflow profiles assigned to Resource Sharing partners. This would allow us to easily determine the partners which have borrowing and lending workflows assigned as well as easily seeing the particular workflow profile assigned to each, including those which are shared amongst multiple partners.
At the moment this is checked by selecting each individual partner. If this could be added to the export available on the Tools option in the partner list we could easily retrieve the required information without the need to manually check every partner. This will be particularly useful…

Currently Resource Sharing letters must be printed out. Is there a way to add a "view it" link so that staff can preview the letter when printing is unavailable?

Mark resource sharing bib records
When creating a borrowing request in Alma, Alma transforms the info in a brief bibliographic record. This is great for everything that has to do with Resource Sharing.
BUT: Librarians who are cataloging find this bib record, don't think twice and just add a holding and an item. So the RS bib record has become a real bibliographic record, but without any one completing the info.
We would like the resource sharing bib records to be marked somehow so that cataloguers can identify them easily and either complete them or import them from another source.

Converting Digitization request to RS request - The “Delivery Location” should be selected as “Alternative address”.
When converting a digitization request to resource sharing borrowing request. The “Delivery Location” should be selected as “Alternative address”. So that the rapidILL proess can run automatically. Or at least Customers should be able to pick a default location for the address when a request is converted to a resource sharing borrowing request.
