Limit to the number of request per item
We would like to have a limit on requests per item? Would it be possible to add this as an option to select (or not), with a self-chosen number for the limit. Otherwise a book could be requested by 25 people for example and after a while (months) it wouldn't be picked-up due to lost interest.

Change the pick up location when an item is "On Hold Shelf"
When an item is "On hold shelf" (in a library A), by clicking on "Edit", we can change (only in Alma fortunately) the pick up location (to the library B for example).
It's a good option, useful when a user has made a mistake and would like to change the pick up location.
In Alma, currently, when you use this option (so edit > change the pick up location", there is no notification to the library A (livrary A have to send the book to library B).

Add feature to Bookings to allow for set up time between checkouts
When a user makes a booking in Alma there is no allowance for set up for the item after it is returned and before it is checked out again. This lack of time for set up may not be an issue for things like books, but if the item is a laptop that needs to be reimaged before it goes out to the next user then this can be a problem. Clone Requests
We have a need to easily copy requests, especially booking requests. For example, our media library frequently needs to book the same item for the same faculty member multiple times. A faculty member may be teaching 3 sections of the same course, on Monday, Tuesday and Thursday. The library staff member would like to make a single request on Monday, and copy the request for Tuesday and Thursday easily, or add multiple dates/times to the same booking request.

"Pick from shelf" facets - group by time
We would like to be able to group "Pick from Shelf" requests from today and yesterday.
This option would be the standard option we would use most days, to avoid constantly searching the shelf for items which are not in place..None of the existing facets in this screen result in the full list of most recent requests.

It is possible to place a Work Order on an item from the List of Items screen, but not a Request. Could this function be added?

Historical Requests in the Resource Request Monitor : search by call number
In the Resource Request Monitor, we cannot search by item barcode.
It's easier for us to search an item by its call number as by barcode.
Is it possible to add this option in the drop down menu?

Make a Reserve Request type in Alma
Make a Reserve request type in Alma. That way the paging slip would flag it at the top in bold that it was an item to be processed for reserve. As it is now, we have to put reserve information in the notes section which is tiny font and hard for staff to see.

Add Print slips option on Active Hold Shelf Screen
It appears ALMA does not have the ability to generate an email (print job) to print hold slips for items that are returned with pending holds.
A great option whether the ability to have those slips print automatically upon return is developed or not, is to force print applicable hold slips from the active hold shelf screen.

Placing requests through ALMA for items in stock
When a borrower has forgotten their ID card and asks us to keep books for them, in the past we have issued these to the Holds Trolley, so that we know where they are, until such time as the borrower returns. However, we want to convert these into official requests, so that they are time limited; cannot be requested by anyone else in the meantime; and no student can request more items than their limit, thus denying other people the use of those books. In the resource request management area when printing the pull slips it would be helpful to have the option to print these in LC Call Number Order.

Hide library from 'pickup location' options for temporary location move requests
We had an issue where a staff member had chosen an incorrect library for the pickup location for move requests (when putting items on Course Reserves). The library they chose was our Resource Sharing Library (which we don't use at all and so is irrelevant to us in every way). I submitted a case to Support asking if we could somehow hide this library from view in the pickup location options in Alma, but was told that this wasn't possible.
I was advised to create an idea here relating to this problem, so here I am!
