Calculation of due date for recalled lending requests should be consistent with fulfillment loan recalls.
When setting recall period on a fulfillment loan to "No recall due date", the original due date is kept, while renewal of the recalled loan is blocked.
For some reason, a different logic is applied to lending requests. Setting "No recall due date" as the recall period policy for lending requests, results in the due date being set to the date of the recall. The result is unpredictability for the borrower.
We propose that that these two very similar workflows are better alligned and that setting "no recall period" for recall should result in no change to the due date…
174 votesThe lender’s recall options are:
- Not to recall requested items. This can be done by removing the recall option from the relevant workflow profile.
- To recall requested items. The new due date will be set as per the recall due date policy.
In either case, a the borrower request to extend the loan of an item that has been requested by a patron on the lender side will be rejected.
The only functional implication of recalling without change in due date is the notification to the borrower that the item may no longer be renewed (which is the case anyhow). Do note that a lender’s item may be nonrenewable for any lender internal reason that the borrower may not be aware of.
The complexity of built-in configuration support for this option (i.e. not via the mentioned workaround) is probably beyond the functional benefit.

Shipping cost lender rule partner code prefix
When setting up the Shipping Cost lender rules, there is no ability to add a rule that allows you to adjust the price based on the partner code prefix. Currently you have to add every partner to that list, and when partners are added or removed you need to manually recreate the parameter list again. (Because you can't edit the parameters, only delete.) Having to manually update these rules is unnecessary work, and the alternative is to manually edit the costs for every partner that doesn’t fit the standard code rules. British Library ARTEmail needs author adding to this email
There is a significant problem which is for requests going to the British Library. The ARTEmail output from ALMA emailed to the British Library has the Author line missing. There we are receiving the wrong items, while we attempt to set up the BLDSS API.

Add statuses to resource sharing borrowing request status field
Is it possible to add two more statuses to the drop-down list for the Request Status field in a resource sharing borrowing request? We would like to add “Pending" and "On Waiting List".

Alma RS Borrowing - view the patron ID (primary identifier) number in the main body of a borrowing request
When you edit a borrowing request you can't see the patron ID number in any of the fields. It is only seen when you come out of editing a request and view the details next to the Request name. It should be seen with the request information.

More frequent resource sharing notifications
Enable the option to send notifications to users who place resource sharing requests for each stage of the process. This will give users a better sense of where their requests are, instead of just sending them into a black hole with no idea when they might arrive. This is similar to the way that online shopping provides notifications for each stage of a purchase, and is something users are coming to expect.

In Cataloging/Authorities, indicate if subject is divisible by place ($z) in the Authority record
In cataloging, when we look at an authority record (in the community zone) we need to know if the subject heading is authorized to be subdivided by place, for example ($z California $z San Francisco)

LENDING BEING PROCESSED
We would like Digital Lending Requests to be automatically updated to Being Processed once the slip has been printed - in the same that way Physical Lending Requests are updated to Being Processed once a hold has been placed via Manage Fulfillment Options. At the moment they have status Created Lending Request - which means we have to change the status manually.

Automatic selection of "Complete the request" when shipping Lending Digital requests
For Lending Digital requests, could the "Complete the request" be automatically selected when we ship an item (or maybe the recent choice remembered) – so we don't have to select it each time we supply an item?

Enhance Holdings Records Mapping to include the 007 field and other control fields
Enhance the Holdings Records Mapping feature (new as of March 2018) to include adding 007 fields and other control fields during the import process. Per SalesForce case #00525849, this new feature currently only works with data fields (non-control fields).

Display of actions on Borrowing screen
We would like to change the order of the actions on Borrowing requests. Currently the order is:
Duplicate, Send, Send Query to Patron, Request Renew, Receive, Edit Shipping Cost, Recall, Return, General Message, Reassign.We would like to split Send and Send Query to Patron.
A possible solution is to change the name to: Patron Notification or Notification to Patron.Thanks

Make personal delivery labels in Resource Sharing request form configurable
We have had many complaints from users who don't understand what Work Address means in the pickup/delivery location drop down menu in the resource sharing form, or they don't even see it.
We much prefer the layout within the patron physical item request form where home and work address are separated from Library pickup locations under a personal delivery heading and where we can customise the labels for Home and Work Address.
Please make the same functionality available in the resource sharing request form so that we can make all of our request forms a consistent experience for users.

Display 245 subfield "p" in "Additional descriptive information" for Electronic Collection
“Additional descriptive information” is now displaying subfield 'a' only without subfield 'p'. It is impossible to check whether it is correct or not by the name if there are few bibliographic records which have the same subfield 'a'.

Prevent RS requests from having a queue of requesters
We have noticed some Resource Sharing requests appearing in the Activate Next tab on the Expired Hold Shelf (Fulfillment). Activate Next activates the next request in the queue, which cancels the first request and makes the item available to the next requester. However, within our workflows Resource Sharing requests don't have a queue of requesters. If the request automatically goes to the another patron, the next patron will not have signed the copyright declaration.
