Send a confirmation by e-mail for each resource sharing request
When the user fill in the form to receive a book by the Inter-Library Loan (ILL), it would be nice if a confirmation by e-mail could be sent to him.
Our users were accustomed to receive this sort of e-mail and it's a deficiency for them.27 votesA confirmation e-mail is sent for patrons for each resource sharing request.

Resource Sharing Borrowing Recalled Item Due Time
When Recalling a Loaned Borrowing Item, there is a Due Date but not a Due Time, as a result, the system enters the Due Time as the time the recall was placed and not the library's closing time.
Pls. let us know what the solution is.
In order to enter the correct Due Time, we have to go into Fulfillment and Change the Date - which sends a second letter to the patron.
It would be very helpful if the Recall screen also allows the Due Time.
6 votesAs of the March 2019 release, the due date for recalling borrowing requests is updated to the last closing hour of the library. See https://knowledge.exlibrisgroup.com/Alma/Release_Notes/010_2019/Alma_2019_Release_Notes?mon=201903BASE

Show a confirmation/warning about completing a lending request when using scan in items
It would be a good enhancement to get a warning or a confirmation that a request is about to be set to completed, when we scan in an item that is currently in a resource sharing process. Because we use RFID, we have had multiple occurences of scanning in a document that already has the status Shipped Physically again by mistake, only to have the lending request irreversibly set to Request Completed, without the item ever being received by the Borrowing library. This means we have to contact the owning library and ask them to resubmit the request.

279 votesAs of July release you canset a message to warn the users if they are going to complete a lending process when scanning items. On the Scan In Messages Configuration page, the Complete lending request message, which defaults to none (no message), can be set to Popup message.

Limit Resource Sharing Requests per academic year
It would be great if Alma included an overridable limit to the number of resource sharing requests a user could submit for an academic year. It would also be great if limits can be set either on the patron type or user group.

Add an "automatically print slip" toggle to the Resource Sharing Receiving Items page
For campuses that have a library that is also a Resource Sharing library, we could use a toggle switch to automatically print hold shelf slips when we receive items. Because Resource Sharing libraries do not require an extra scan at "scan in items", this would help speed up our workflow.

Report of Outstanding Borrowing Requests
We would like a to be able to: 1. Create a report of outstanding borrowing requests, 2. Automatically send the claim letters by email to the partners, 3. Update the status of the requests to Claimed.
54 votesAs of March release for peer-to-peer resource sharing partners, you can trigger an automatic claim letter when a configured period of time is reached. For example, when the Automatic Claim check box is selected and the Time to Claim (days) field is set to 7, if a request was sent 7 days ago and the request’s status is still Sent, a claim letter is automatically triggered and the request status is set to Claimed.
You can also configure an option to send a cancel message and continue through the rota.In case of an Email/SLNP partner, the letter is sent by email.
For ISO requests, the notice is sent in a General Message. The text in the message can be configured

Adding "Level of Service" to Resource Sharing Borrowing/Lending Request Facet
Currently, when placing a Resource Sharing Requests (both Borrowing and Lending), clients are able to select a "Level of Service" e.g. Core, Rush, Express. The Borrowing/Supplying library will then base on this level of service to prioritize the workload. At the moment, Level of Service is not available as a facet for filtering in Alma. The impact is that library staff need to go through every requests to find out what level of service the client has requested. When the Borrowing and Lending Request list contains hundreds of requests, this task is impractical and defeat the purpose of having "level…

Change default of Automatic Print Slip from No to Yes in Alma RS
When we are processing Lending Requests, we prefer to send the Shipping Slip with every item we loan/email. The information on the slips helps the requesting library to receive the item as it has their External Identifier, their address details, information regarding their request etc.
We would like to have the Automatic Print Slip default change from No to Yes. Can it be made as a default of Yes?

Payment of requests in Resource Sharing
It would be great to have the facility to assign a fund code and encumbrance against resource sharing requests in the same way you do in acquisitions . Then when you receive your invoice from the supplier the amount charged/paid could then be reflected as a negative encumbrance against the assigned fund code.

Ability to assign Resource Sharing Borrowing Requests
There is currently the ability to assign Resource Sharing Lending Requests, but not Borrowing Requests.
This would be a useful feature- it would ensure there is no double handling across different campuses, certain requests can be escalated to a manager if they require approval, and once a request has been processed up until a certain point it can be placed back into the unassigned list until further intervention is needed.23 votes
