Continuous, dynamic DDA deduping based on Alma holdings
Currently, if a book is in our DDA pool, and then we acquire it in another Alma collection, the book remains in our DDA pool (allowing us to trigger a book we already have) unless we follow a tedious manual process for identifying and removing such books from the DDA pool. This enhancement would make it so our Alma holdings "talk back" to LibCentral, so if we get a new book, and if that book is in our DDA pool, it is automatically removed from the DDA pool in Rialto, Ebook Central/LibCentral, and in the Alma repository. This would reduce the number of DDA triggers for titles libraries can already access through other sources, thus ensuring libraries spend their DDA funds well. It would also eliminate the tedious manual labor currently required to remove titles we already own from our DDA pool.
The Rialto team has reviewed this idea but at this time it does not align with our roadmap initiatives. We appreciate your feedback and encourage you to continue to participate in the Ideas Exchange process.

This enhancement would be so impactful on a number of levels: reducing duplicate purchases, automating processes that are currently manual, staffing safe time, etc.
