Create Bibliography Using Sources From Multiple Folders
I would like to utilize subfolders for a literature review based on themes. However, I confirmed with support that there is no way to select sources from multiple folders when using the "Create Bibliography" feature. This would be a helpful feature to add.

While you can’t select references from multiple folders there are two ways to create such a bibliography:
1. Select Create Bibliography from the All References tab and not from a specific folder.
2. Create a new folder and copy to it all relevant references (this is similar to My List in legacy RefWorks with the added benefit that it won’t be cleared when you logout, as is the case with My List). -
Viewing abstracts at once when folder is shared
In Legacy RefWorks, when you share a folder with a patron, they have the option of viewing the full reference which will show the abstract. In New RefWorks, those who you share the folder with cannot customize their view. They have to click on each abstract to view each abstract.

Users can choose the Full View option and then the abstract is fully visible in the main pane, without having to open the preview pane.

"Remove Field Codes" in WnC is an invaluable function for faculty and grad students. Please add to RCM.
Publishers do not want RefWorks field codes in submitted manuscripts. WnC provides this valuable function, but faculty and graduate students, who because of their platform must use RCM, do not have this feature. I submit that RCM must have this capability for this population of users.
24 votesRCM does not use field codes; it uses content control. To utilize this, you will want to follow these steps:
- Write your document in Word, as usual.
- Insert desired citations using RCM
- Select all contents in Word (Ctrl+a)
- Right click on the content
- Click on “Remove Content Control”:

Edit publication date in imported citations
Books imported from library websites often show up with "[INVALID DATE]" instead of their real pubvlication date. Looks like the problem is that RefWorks can't handle two publication dates--the first edition's and the current printing. This is REALLY ANNOYING.... It would be great if the user could edit the date included in an imported reference to fix the default of [invalid date]. If this is possible, please let me know by replying to my email below. Thanks.

Ease of access to PDF attachments.
I can only access the PDF attachments by going to Full View and searching through all the information that is shown. It would be great if the system would show that the PDF document is attached and have a link to open it on the side bar in Normal View. Or have the PDF automatically open when the title is double clicked.

Attachments are indicated also in Normal view and can be accessed from the preview pane that opens when clicking on the reference.

Add Line Breaks to New RefWorks
Please add a line break function to the style editor. For those of us that have to submit Working Bibliographies for auditing, it would be great if we were able to export our large amounts of references with the abstract already on the next line as opposed to having to go back and perform line breaks manually after exporting.

Accounts Created per Month in new Refworks
The "Accounts Created per Month" statistics are offered by Legacy RefWorks but not by New RefWorks. These statistics are really useful to evaluate the RefWorks usage in our libraries and they are the second more important for us after the "New References".
We like to have these statistics in New Refworks too.

These stats are available by downloading user data to an excel and sorting the “Created” column.

Add more severe authentication
We have institutions which have multiple campuses or branch office and use a common institutional email address domain.
If only one campus/office of a large-scale institution subscribes RefWorks, it needs to restrict to access or create new account from other places.
I think that to add the authentication by all of the following required items would be resolved:
- access to the unique URL
- enter the invitation code
- enter the institutional email address domain10 votesRefWorks offers unique URL + access code + domain authentication for accounts creation.

Create reports based on common wording in the "notes" field
Some of the references I have collected are available only in a certain University. During the course of collecting the data, I mentioned in the "notes" field that these specific articles are available in that University. Now I want to go there and make a report/list of all the references of which I mentioned in the notes they are available there. How do I do it? Tag it? Can I create a report based on tagging?
Might it be able to learn from the common wording I used in the notes field: "Available/accessible on XXX".1 voteAlready Supported ·

Empower Users to Continue Access to Data Post-Graduation
Logging in using institutional Shibboleth is easiest for the majority of users. However, this method of authentication only works so long as they continue their institutional affiliation. Please design a way for users to select their login preferences after the initial account creation, in order to offer users the option to change their sign-in to an email address and password of their choice. This will help them continue access post-graduation, which is particularly important for graduate students.

In the login screen users can log in with their email and password or by selecting their institution from the drop down list (Shibboleth). If they left the institution they should simply use their email and password (defined when they initially created the account). They can change the email address associated with their account under Settings (to a non-institutional email), and if they forgot the password they originally defined they can click on Forgot Password.

Search Using Keywords
When an article is read through the refworks, currently keywords cannot be searched nor highlighted. Currently, the paper should be downloaded to the computer and then searched using Ctrl+F. It would be great, to have this option in refworks itself.

To move/copy references between projects, export the references from the initial project where they are placed and import them into the other project(s), or use sharing.
