← Have an idea for Ex Libris?

We welcome your ideas for new content (metadata) to add to the Knowledge Bases (KBs - Alma CZ, SFX, 360) and Discovery services (CDI - Central Discovery Index whose data supports Primo and Summon).


How to increase your idea's visibility and get more votes:
  1. Check if your idea has already been posted and vote for it before posting a new idea.
  2. Choose the right category: "New Provider" for content from a provider that has no available content in the KBs or CDI, or "Existing Provider" for content from a provider that already has content available in the KBs or CDI.
  3. Add a direct link to the provider/resource you suggest, and a contact person if possible.
  4. For enrichment requests add the relevant collection ID(s).
  5. Make sure you mention any specific added value your idea has to the community such as language or supporting diversity.
  6. Did you find errors in an existing collection? please open a case.
  7. A new year has begun but no corresponding annual collection? post an idea in Idea Exchange, make sure to mention if it is an existing provider.


The categories for new content ideas are:
  1. Existing Provider - if your idea is for a new collection from a provider that already has content available in the KBs and CDI or enriching records for an existing collection, use this category. No voting is necessary, ideas for existing providers will be handled regardless of voting.
  2. New Providers - if your idea is for content from a provider that does not have any content available in the KBs and CDI, choose this category. The ideas for new providers will be annually prioritized via the CERV process.
  3. Other - for non provider specific ideas

**Please be aware that ideas with no comments or votes for the past three years, and have less than 30 votes, will be closed. The closed ideas will still be available for review, and the votes will be freed up for supporting other content ideas.

How can we improve Content?

You've used all your votes and won't be able to post a new idea, but you can still search and comment on existing ideas.

There are two ways to get more votes:

  • When an admin closes an idea you've voted on, you'll get your votes back from that idea.
  • You can remove your votes from an open idea you support.
  • To see ideas you have already voted on, select the "My feedback" filter and select "My open ideas".

    Last month, Bloomsbury Drama Online released the annual update to Critical Studies and Performance Practice.

    Can it please be added to 360KB.

    The 2024 annual update includes 217 titles, available in all regions.

  3. Request to add Torrossa_eBook_Single_Purchase collection

    Dear Ex Libris, Support,

  6. Iter Bibliography

    Please add the following database to Ex Libris 360:

    Provider: EBSCOhost

    This database just migrated to the EBSCOhost platform. Someone requested this for Alma, and it's listed as "already supported", but has not yet been added to Ex Libris 360. 0-title for ERM purposes is fine.

  8. Qwest TV in Alexander street

    Hello,
    Qwest tv is migrating to Alexander Street 8/31. It is available now from June-August. Will you be adding the new ASP interface to Alma? We only see one database with the interface Qwest Tv,Collection ID: 615300000000000195

    We do see this selective package: Music Online: The Qwest TV Collection - All Titles, but it says Music Online and the title count looks low compared to the 1000+ titles in the Qwest collection. Is this the replacement option?

  9. mergent market atlas

    Mergent has a new product that is replacing Mergent Online, which will be sunsetting in 2025. The replacement product is Market Atlas.

  10. New Database Request - Oxford University Press:Jisc Collections:OUP Oxford Journals Archive (2024-2025 Access Period) - 360 KB

    A new Jisc agreement has been released for Oxford University Press Archive Journals covering 2024-2025. We therefore need a new database in 360 KB to reflect the current collection and replace the now out-of-date database that covered the 2020-2023 agreement [Oxford University Press:Jisc Collections:OUP Oxford Journals Archive (2020-23 Access Period) (AGKRT)]

    We also need article-level linking for the new database collection. Database - Oxford University Press Journals All Titles (1996-Current) (ROX) has article level linking in place and the platform has not changed so the same linking principles should still apply.
