Copyright Clearance Center Annual License Integration
For institutions paying for the Copyright Clearance Center's annual license, it would be helpful if the process for checking permissions using RightFind could be integrated with Leganto. RightFind provides instructors with the ability to search for resources by title or ISBN/ISSN. The results display whether digital or photocopy sharing is permitted with a link to check pay-per-use. If instructors could see that a resource was already covered through the CCC annual license when adding citations, it would prevent the need to search in a second platform.

Can we please reopen this idea?
We are relatively new to Ex Libris products and unfortunately missed the opportunity to vote or comment during the initial discussion.
Since Leganto/Alma already supports integration with the Copyright Clearance Center (CCC) for pay-per-use licensing, it would be a natural and logical extension to also integrate automated checks against the CCC Annual Academic License (via RightFind or repertoire lookup).
Automatically querying title/ISBN/ISSN against the CCC annual license database—and displaying clear coverage status on citations (e.g., "Covered by Institutional Annual License" or "Requires Pay-Per-Use Clearance")—would greatly reduce time-consuming manual checks, minimize errors, and streamline copyright compliance workflows for course reserves and reading lists.
This enhancement would save significant staff and instructor time, especially for institutions with high-volume reading lists, and further strengthen Leganto's copyright management capabilities.
Thank you for considering reopening this valuable idea! -
