Create a Separate Search Index for Specific OCLC Number
Currently, the OCLC Number for a record is indexed in the search index "Other System Number." This is not ideal, since the Other System Number indexes other numbers related to vendor record, CONSER, related item, etc.
We request that Ex Libris provide a separate search index for OCLC number based on the presence of the '(OCoLC)' prefix in the 035 $a and/or $z, or (without prefix) in the 019 $a if there is a number in the 035 with an (OCoLC) prefix. Currently these specific (OCoLC) numbers are mixed in with other numbers occurring in the 019, 035, 773, 774,…30 votesThis idea has not received sufficient support from the community through votes. Lists of Name Authorities similar Subject Authorities
Lists of Name Authorities similar Subject Authorities
When cataloging a bibliographic record, Alma allows selecting different lists of Subject Authorities (LC, UC or UANDES, etc.). In the case of the Name Authorities, it currently only allows the use of a list of Name Authorities. We propose that the authorities of name are handled in the same way as the Matter Authorities.// Al momento de catalogar un registro bibliográfico, Alma

Role for adding normalizations processes
Cataloging staff often need to create normalization or indication rules to edit groups of records. They can create these in the Medatdata Editor but they cannot use them on sets of records until they are added as a process/task in the resources metadata configuration area.
The ability to add processes is limited to the highest role of cataloger administrator which also allows configuration permissions.
Include the ability to add normalization and indication rule processes to the cataloger manager role to allow more flexibility to do global changes on Marc records.
Catalog managers need to add their own rules without giving…

Ability to set individual item records to not publish
Would like the ability to set individual item records to not be published.
Historically, we did not create item records for individual serial issues, but created a fake item record to get usage which migrated over to Alma. These item records display to the user in Primo.
Our options to fix this would be to give them all a process type, and set that process type to not publish but many of our staff find work orders confusing and we would not like to complicate it further. Alternatively, we could move each one to a suppressed holdings record, which would…

Refresh button on manage sets page
Please add a refresh button on the Manage Sets page. If a new set is created, it won't show up until I've reloaded the manage sets page. Something similar to the button on the Monitor and View Imports page would be great.

Mask non-individualized GND entries in F3 lookup for fields 100 / 700
The GND contains two types of authority records for persons: Individualized records denoting an identifiable individual and non-individualized ones containing personal names without distinguishing additional information.
Our cataloging team wants to avoid using the latter. Make it possible to mask these entries in the F3 search index of the MARC fields 100 and 700, or to flag them so that they can be recognized immediately (without "expand"ing the list).1 voteHello All,

Link the "record has match" text alert in metadata editor
In the metadata editor, when a record has a match in the repository, link the text alert to open the matching record.

Bibliographic creation date should be original load date
Currently, when you reload a bibliographic record, it updates the creation date, so you have no way of knowing when the record was loaded for the first time. This makes statistics gathering difficult. It would make more sense to have some sort of original creation date (at least in analytics), so you can see when that bibliographic record/MMSID was created in the system for the first time.

Browsing Dewey in MD Editor
We noticed that in Metadata editor the browsing in the 676 - Dewey field isn't available: we would like add the feature to scroll the lists from other records, as happens for the 6xx fields (subjects) and 7xx (authors).
114 votesThe F3 functionality is designed specifically for linking bibliographic headings to an authority record. When used, it opens the defined authority vocabulary in browsing mode, which allows customers to view the full authority record or link it to the bibliographic record where corrections are done (For more details on authority controlled fields in UNIMARC, please refer to the relevant documentation). This functionality is not intended for browsing bibliographic data in other records based on a search term. Browsing bibliographic data is supported through the Browse Bibliographic Headings feature.
For this reason, F3 is available for the UNIMARC 676 field only when it is used in the context of linking. In this situation, Alma checks the vocabulary code in subfield $2 and displays the corresponding authority data for selection.
If your goal is to browse the bibliographic data stored in the 676 fields of your repository, you will need to…

It was very usefull to have a list on a subfield and not only on a field, especially on 606
It is desirable to have in Alma the functionality that Alpeh offered with F$, that is to retrieve, when calaoguing, the list on a subfields (not only on a field), especially on 606 (subject terms and not only subject strings)

(Metadata editor) Make the "yes" and "no" Release All Records buttons keyboard actionable
It would be great to be able just to type Y or N in the Release All Records dialogue window, rather than having to mouseclick on "Yes" or "No."

Add the 585 field to search index
The 585 Exhibition note is not currently indexed in Alma for searching. Would you please either add it to the Notes index or create a new index for it? Thanks.

External Authority Record Search
Please add a way to search externally for authority records. At present if there are no institutional or community records that can be used, we have to go outside of Alma to find a record, and then find a way to get it into Alma. Then go back into Alma to edit or work with it.

Ability to make the option suppress from discovery and Don't publish to WorldCat default in Metadadata Editor templates
In cases whena a library manages collections that should not be visible in PRIMO or in WorldCat, it would be of value if Metadata Editor Templates could be configured so that suppress from discovery and Don't publish to WorldCat is set as default.

Want to view more of a bibliographic record when editing without having to scroll
There is currently quite a lot of unused space above and below a bibliographic record. It would be great if I could drag the bottom of the bibliographic record down further when I am editing so that I can view as much of the record as possible at once.

Copy text (click and drag) one time only in metadata editor
Within the metadata editor, if you want to copy text by clicking and dragging to highlight, the highlight disappears as soon as you finish dragging. You have to re-highlight the text and then you can right click on the text to copy. A small matter, but it would be nice to avoid repeating an action.

Enable separate authority control for LC children's subject headings (6xx second indicator 1).
I have been told that the LC children's subject headings have been merged into the LC adult headings, and that therefore the only way to control those headings is to change the existing 2nd indicator 1 to 0. This is non-standard MARC coding per MARC 21 Format for Bibliographic Data, which specifies second indicator 1 for LC subject headings for children's literature. It is my understanding that other libraries requested this change, so the activation of a separate LC children's subject headings thesaurus should be an option for those libraries that wish to continue standard MARC coding practice.
