Shortcut keys to expand drop-down lists in new MD Editor
Please add the shortcut keys for each tab in the menu bar of the records area.
In the old MD Editor, shortcut keys Alt+F, Alt+E and Alt+T are for expanding the drop-down lists of File, Edit and Tools respectively. They are very important shortcut keys in the the AutoHotKey/Macro scripts. But there are no such shortcut keys in the new MD Editor.5 votesHello All,

External Authority Record Search
Please add a way to search externally for authority records. At present if there are no institutional or community records that can be used, we have to go outside of Alma to find a record, and then find a way to get it into Alma. Then go back into Alma to edit or work with it.

Fix split editor display when 856 field is present
I have noticed that when there is a really long URL in the 856 field on a bibliographic record, the right pane in split editor view does not display correctly. You have to pull the left pane over as far as you can to see the contents of the right pane. Even after moving the left pane over you still cannot see the right pane very well. Improve "MMS – build record relations" job to allow matching on CZ ISBN-10s
I may be incorrect on this, but I believe that the "MMS – build record relations" often fails to "relate" lower-quality community zone records to local records where we'd expect it to. I wonder if this might be due to the CZ records concerned having only ISBN-10s (formatted with dashes), whilst the local records have ISBN-13s.
Whilst it would obviously be ideal to improve the CZ metadata, I know this is part of a larger, incremental project. In the meantime, if I am right about the matching issue, would it be possible to tweak the job parameters to allow matching…

Ability to be able to report on 699 $b and $c subfields for Resource Type and Resource Subject
I would find really useful is to get a list of Electronic Collection Type =databases AND the subfields of 699 field $$a Resource Types AND/OR Resource Subject e.g. $$b. eJournal Services or $$b. Business $$c ALL . This is not supported as the 699 $b and $c subfields are not included as search index in Alma

Option to delete bib directly from results page
When viewing a list of search results for holdings or items, there is an option to delete selected holdings or withdraw selected items from the list page, without opening them to edit. Having this function for bibliographic records results as well would be very useful. For example, when we have consolidated holdings from two bibs onto one, we are left with a bib for deletion. Working with 2 or more name authority files : Implement new Marc21 subfield $2 -
Marc21 Format change from May 2019 introduced a new subfied $2 in bib headings.
$2 contains the source of heading of term in name or name-title and title headings (http://www.loc.gov/m.arc/bibliographic/bdapndxg.html)
This subfield $2 already exists for use with 6xx headings, 2nd indicator 7. With this format change, Marc21 introduce the $2 in 100-700-800/110-710-810/111-711-811/130-730-830 fields.
In Alma, links with Name/Titles authority file can be made only with 1 unique file, unless you use the Authority Priorities. Unfortunately, Authority Priorities is not convenient to all situations.
Other linking possibilities based on $2 value would be more consistent for authority control.

Bring back the Galileo portfolio holdings in the institutional bibliographic record.
There was a time in which the Alma portfolios for e-journals directly replicated the holdings for the institution that are shown through the Primo userface. Now that this is no longer the case, we're seeing more errors for deactivating and withdrawing journals that we do still have access to, despite not being able to see those available portfolios on the back-end of Alma. This is a problem.

Speed up the cataloging process in Alma
I recently migrated from Voyager, and I'm finding Alma helpful with the Normalization Rules. However, it needs the following improvements to speed up the cataloging process for someone who is working with print materials or media (not eBooks):
1. Please set individual user preferences by adding Item Defaults in Ama for Material type, Copy ID, and Item Policy. When pressing Alt+I, this will help automatically populates those boxes.

MARC21 local field 930 should be "repeatable" as the same as the other 9XX fields.
930 is a not special field among 9XX but Alma sets it as non repeatable unlike other 9XX fields. We should use "extension pack" to change 930 repeatable.

having the ability to mark and email records in ALMA. this is available in PRIMO but not ALMA.
if one is looking at circulation data, only available in ALMA, then makes a decision, e.g. to have the material withdrawn, one can't email the record to others who would pull the material.
one can use both but this is inefficient. one can use analytics but this inefficient for dealing with just one or a small number of records.
