Hi Jessie
1) so staff can see at a glance what proportion of their reading list is Open Access and therefore free from restrictions (e.g. limits to the number of simultaneous users, costly resources) with a view to ensuring a there's a good amount of unrestricted reading
2) so students can see at a glance what proportion of their reading list is Open Access and therefore free from restrictions (e.g. guaranteed access, plus access after graduation). It is hoped that students will encourage module leads to include more OA material as they become aware of the benefits which could lead to recognition for staff who engage with open material
3) For library staff - easier identification of open content at a glance
