This is a very impactful idea for enhancement because it saves the consortia(s) time and money. Currently, a central entity is responsible for deleting all the records without holdings for member institutions. It is more efficient to take care of these records without wasting extra time communicating what needs to be removed from the NZ. Not being able to remove NZ records can be especially onerous/problematic for institutions that are the only holder of specific collections with numerous records that need to be removed from the NZ. Functionality for deleting both individual and batches of records would be beneficial. Without having this functionality there could be a build-up of ghost NZ records which could lead to the necessity of hiring/ assigning additional persons to clean up the NZ which is costly.
