Link between restricted access rights and thumbnail configuration
When we select a restricted access rights policy in the digital representation editor (ex. only members of the university can view and download the representation), the thumbnail of the representation is still visible in the search results on Primo, making it possible for all users to view the image. This is especially problematic in the case of photos for example.
One solution could be adding a different thumbnail to the representation, which would overrule the automatic thumbnail generation of the image. However, this is not possible to do in bulk. It would be very useful if we could add thumbnails in bulk, based on a list of mms id's or representation id's.
Another solution could be creating a link between the access rights policy and the thumbnail configuration, so that a thumbnail automatically becomes invisible on Primo when a specific restricted access rights policy is selected in Alma. This is not possible at the moment, but would be very helpful.

Agree. Restricted images should not be visible as thumbnails until signed in. We previously had a similar issue with Leganto exposing restricted images via thumbnails. It was resolved. Case: 06649630 - Image thumbnails on public lists expose access to Guest users to restricted image file.
