Order type for APC and "Read and Publish" agreements
We have started to make APC (Article Processing Charge) agreements and also Read and Publish (to publish OA at no additional costs) agreements between the Library and some publishers.
We found that there is no suitable order type to use in Alma when creating such orders. We ask Ex Libris to add a suitable order type for such orders.
10 votesDear Colleagues,
I was informed that there is a solution by adding this to Alma Acquisitions as a PO line type that will suit the type of acquisition which is APC agreement.
I am closing this idea for this reason.

Homepage Search Scope Order (Output vs Profiles)
On the new Esploro homepage portal interface, the default search scope for the search box is Outputs. We would like the ability to change the default search scope to be Faculty Profiles.

Portal - Author/Creator Facet - Show/Filter by Affiliated Persons Only
Currently the Portal shows both affiliated and non-affiliated persons together in the 'Author/Creator' facet on the results page. The suggestion here is that this facet should show only affiliated persons. The purpose of the portal is to reflect institutional work, and this would clarify that the portal user is filtering to affiliated persons. This would also reduce the potential for duplication of names (e.g. where a non-affiliated person was imported as two different persons).
(where Barbara Milrod and Barbara L Milrod currently appear as separate persons due to multiple non-affiliated person imports)
1 voteDear Colleagues,
Over time we added 2 more facets, in addition to the "Author / Creator" one -
You can display an "Affiliated Researchers" facet and "Other Researchers" facet separately, which essentially splits the "Author / Creator" facet exactly the way you suggested.
