Automatic status depending on file upload and copyright clearance
We've configured Leganto so when a file is uploaded the copyright status goes to Waiting for Approval, and the citation status shows as In Process. On the other hand when an instructor creates a citation which has a full text link available, the citation will automatically be Complete. This covers the simple cases: a citation with only a link is ready for students to use immediately, and a citation without a link needs the instructor to upload a file which they then need to request copyright clearance for.
But it doesn't support our copyright requirements for more complex cases. Eg if they create an item with a full text link and also upload a file, the citation still shows as complete due to the full text link - so the instructor isn't prompted to request copyright clearance and students can access the file even though we're not fulfilling our obligations to report on it. Similarly if they add a book that's in the library it goes to ReadyForProcessing, and if they then also upload a file to the citation the status doesn't change.
From another angle, it would be useful to show a different citation status when a) a file has been uploaded and the lecturer has to request copyright clearance and b) the lecturer has made the request and it's pending clearance.
So it would be useful to add parameters to the Course Reserves Automatic Statuses table to allow libraries to optionally specify:
1) a status to apply to a citation when a file is uploaded that over-rides other parameters (though I suppose it shouldn't override citationuploadedfile. Btw this parameter sounds like it should do what I want, but is actually only for "new citation with uploaded file that has no copyright declaration")
2) a status to apply when a copyright clearance request goes to 'pending clearance'

Yes please. Our use case - we have rolled over citations with physical items and an uploaded chapter file. Because they are physical they automatically go to complete despite the fact that a file has been uploaded for an individual chapter.
Perhaps the order of applying the statuses could be configurable. File upload trumps all!
