  1. Add a week key to dates eg request dates

We would like to be able to look at physical item requests by week, but can only currently do it by month. Could a week key be added to analytics?

In the ideas exchange " Add a week key to dates eg request dates" You ask:
We would like to be able to look at physical item requests by week, but can only currently do it by month. Could a week key be added to analytics?

    We answer:
This can be done using the “Request Date Week Number” in the Requests Subject Area.
This field did not exist in 2017 when you opened the ideas Exchange.

  2. Include Brief Levels in Analytics

Our library uses Brief Levels to initially 'sort' newly received print materials, primarily those with records that come via our import profiles.

We'd like to be able to get regular reports and statistics that count how many records were assigned each Brief Level so that we can determine the general quality of records as well as make decisions surrounding whether our Brief Level rules need to be adjusted.

Currently, we can only search Brief Levels using the Repository Search, but it can be cumbersome to do it for each individual brief level for every import.

  3. Run a report of items by fund code in Analytics

A colleague wanted to know the usage stats for books he had purchased over a certain period of time. This would have been easiest by running a report including items, his fund code, and the relevant fiscal years. This is currently not possible - Dewey range reports inevitably miss some titles.

Can the Funds Expenditure and Physical Items SAs be made compatible?

  4. add the "public note" field to analytics

    Hello,
adding the "public note" field to the "physical items" subject area ("physical items details" dimension) would be a great thing...

  5. Tableau access to Analytics (Alma & Primo)

    Hi ExLibris

A number of institutions use Tableau (market leading BI platform) for Library Analytics

It would be awesome if ExLIbris would open/allow Alma & Primo Analytics to connect with Tableau (or other similar BI tools)

Currently Tableau can connect with Oracle BI (OBIEE) (which Alma/Primo Analytics use) but we need the connection
details and network access - refer documents below

ExLibris users: Please post in the comments below if you use Tableau - or if you use a similar tool for Library Analytics please post the details

    Cheers

  6. Retain Statistical Identifiers

Right now when you have all the Anonymization jobs set to run, only four elements remain in a checkout history of an item related to the patron details: User Group, Job Category, Record Type, and Account Type.

This makes the use of the Statistical identifiers not very effective to measuring checkout usage with them. We have them currently set to be the user's major/department. We would like to know usage by major/department, but cannot get this information with Anonymization jobs turned on.

Any chance the Statistical Identifiers could also remain in the loan history in Analytics.

  7. Add fund information dimension to physical items dimension and vice versa in Analytics

Need location and call number details when reporting by fund expenditure. Also need the information to generate reports for spending by individual departments as we have centralized ordering.

  9. Add Storage Location ID to Analytics

The storage location ID field in Alma should be added to Analytics

This seems like an easy add that needs to be done so the field can be reported upon.
