Using syllabus upload w/ current list
For at least a year now, we have been reviewing the textbook list each semester and adding any library resources we own to our Course Reading location if faculty haven't already added it to Leganto. We considered creating Leganto reading lists for those faculty who are currently using Leganto. We would then contact to let them know that we have started on on their behalf and encouraging them to build on it. Now with the introduction of the AI Syllabus Assistant, we are hoping that it could be feasible to update an already created course using the AI Syllabus Assistant. For example, we the library create a list of textbooks. After informing the faculty that a list was created, they are interested in expanding the reading list and respond by sending us their syllabus. It would be great if they could either submit the list via Leganto, or if it was emailed to staff, we could update the previously created list.

When the syllabus assistant is enabled, click on the "add" menu within the list. In the August 2025 release the option is under "Import references". Choose either "Paste references" or "From file". From September 2025 you will see the AI option as "Import course materials" in the Add menu.
