Possibility to add item to list and to "My collection" from the same screen
When adding an item to a list from the library search, one is presented with these 3 options: List, Clipboard and Suggestions (see screenshot). It would make sense to be able to add the item to one's collection from there as well. Instead, the instructor has to go to "My collection" and search all over again.

Ability to lock section templates to avoid deletion
We have created two section templates (Weekly readings, Essential and background readings) in addition to the Blank default template. Any member of library staff with access to Leganto can delete the templates we created by clicking the x. We would like the ability to lock these templates to avoid accidental deletion by staff.
See idea 'Removal of standard blank template and ability to create a default institution template which cannot be deleted' for a similar suggestion, which was accepted in November 2021.
10 votesTemplates are managed in Alma in the new UI. Closing this idea as we believe it is no longer relevant.

Deactivate the bubble "Add items"
The bubble which pops up when you create a new list and indicates 'Add items' is useless, the 'Add items' button is obvious and does not need a contextual help to be noticed.

Reading Lists with status “New Citation Added to Completed List” displayed in task lists
We have added the custom reading list status called “New Citation Added to Completed List” in “Additional Reading List Statuses” in our configuration.
For the moment, we are only able to see reading lists with this status in Alma when viewing reading lists “Assigned to Me”.
It would be very useful and make working with reading lists easier if we could have a task in the task list displaying reading lists where this status is present.

Add Leganto Question when exporting title from Primo
We were asked by multiple instructors why there is no Leganto Question when they push a title from Primo to their reading list via the export functionality.
As we are using this (amongst other things) to remind them to add tags to their citations, instructors really depend on this feature and don't understand why it's missing in Primo. We as librarians also don't understand why the feature was not developed when 'Export to Leganto' was added to Primo's export actions last year.
If there is a connection between products (like Primo <> Leganto) all features should be available. Everything else…
18 votesHi,
Thank you for being involved.
We are closing this idea as it would require an excessive amount of time to develop.
We would love to hear any other suggestions you may have for addressing the same issue.

List Analysis: ability to customise fields that display
When the List Analysis feature is switched on, it is not currently possible to customise which analytics fields display. Some of the fields relate to functionality which can be disabled in Leganto, therefore it should be possible to disable the related analytics field to not display in the citation analysis, as the usage will also remain at zero. This is discouraging and confusing for teaching staff.
For example, institutions can configure whether or not files can be uploaded to citations. If this is not configured, then the usage for 'Student File Downloads' becomes irrelevant and should be possible to be…
12 votesClosing because the List Analysis feature has been removed in the New UI

Improve customization and branding for Leganto
Currently, Leganto branding and customization settings do not work well together. In Branding, you can change the color of the header and separator bar, but the button that reveals the hamburger menu does not change color even if you put the correct color code in the field for the Leganto left panel color.
In Customization, you can change the color of the hamburger menu, but this overrides the color codes in the Branding menu for the header and separator bar. You can put a color code into Leganto color in Customization instead, but that changes the color for everything, including…
35 votesWe are closing this idea because the new UI has different branding options as of the November 2023 release. Please open a new idea for the new UI if needed.

Public Note formatting in "View full note"
If you expand a Public Note that has exceeded the space limit by clicking "Click to view full note" in citation brief view, the original text formatting isn't included. This makes longer public notes difficult to read, since it excludes line-breaks and paragraphs.
We believe it would improve the user experience if the original formatting, that is visible in full view, is transferred in brief view, View full note, as well.
62 votesThe new UI shows the full note and all formatting options on the student view.

Course code facet in Manage Purchase Requests
Adding a facet for course code in Manage Purchase Requests would be extremely beneficial for staff processing reading list purchases, allowing them to view and work through all purchase requests at a list level.
Currently some course-related facets do exist in Manage Purchase Requests, such as course year and academic department. Being able to filter by individual course codes would a welcome addition to this. The course code can be viewed within the purchase request itself, so it seems logical to be able to add this as a facet
13 votesThere is an option in this screen to search by the course code.

Identify more recent editions for reading list citations
Each year reading lists and citation are rolled over to the new academic year. During the years the library acquires more recent editions of course materials, however instructors are not by default being notified of these new editions. A kind of 'identify other editions' job/feature for active reading lists could be interesting.
Of course 'matching' criteria to identify possible new (more recent) editions need to be well defined, but we strongly believe we can benefit from this feature to maintain up to date reading lists in an efficient way!

Leganto marketing toolkit
We love the images to market Leganto, made available by Ex Libris at https://go.proquest.com/Leganto_toolkit?utm_campaign=HQ_CS_Alma_Apr2021&utm_medium=email&_hsmi=136054310&_hsenc=p2ANqtz-9hnBBn-5Ej3AOiCvhlpgG49ATE_mC_yHRvptquh9fkYiNwXdjotGijUYCEfnsOTrV45Fz0j4llGlOwtS-KpqECKgOSIQ&utm_content=135764548&utm_source=hs_email.
We take note that we can upload our institutional logo to these images but would like to be able to edit/add text also. This will allow us to adapt the Ex Libris message for our own needs and according to our own slogans and messages we wish to convey to our instructors.

Copyright Clearance option when uploading a file
when instructors upload a file in Leganto, (one) of the configured copyright statements is 'ticked' by default.
(File Upload Copyright Options setup)
Is there a way to oblige' instructors to agree on/tick one of the statements before they're able to upload the file? So, this is not ticked by default?

The leganto header to put URL links
It should be allowed in the leganto header to put URL links as buttons to direct users to other websites.
7 votesToday, the library can add custom links to the useful links, the help documentation, and the getting started videos. We will not add additional buttons to the header.

Pop up confirmation message when file is uploaded
We think it would be useful to have the option to enable a yes/no confirmation popup message after instructors upload a file. The message text could be configurable. Clicking "yes" would complete the upload and clicking "no" would cancel the upload.
For example, in our case we would like to have a message that says something like:
Before uploading a file, please check if the library has a copy.
Before uploading this file, I searched the library and did not find a copy of this resource?
Yes/No
Currently we have had instructors upload unlicensed copies of resources to Leganto. When…
2 votesWe believe this is resolved by the new UI.

Within a citation's Links & Availability, allow the ordering of links
Currently when a citation has an uploaded file and online links, the uploaded file will by default show on top of the list. If we enable embedded PDFs and other formats this end up pushing the remaining links to the very bottom of the page. We would like to be able to customize the order of links within a citation
5 votesPDFs now open in a new tab rather than embedded in the full view. Therefore additional links are no longer hidden below the PDF

Leganto Analytics - add functionality to identify rolled over reading lists
At UNSW we encourage academics to use the Leganto Instructor Rollover feature. We need to report on percentage of reading lists that have been rolled over for each of the terms. This information would help us to track how our reading lists are re-used, and understand the impact of this functionality.
12 votesThe Courses subject area includes "Rolled over from code" in the courses folder. This displays the course code of the course the list was rolled over from.

Ability to configure citation status set when reading list submitted to library
It would be useful to be able to configure the citation status applied when a reading list is sent to the library for review via the Course Reserves Automatic Status settings.
Currently submitting the reading list changes a citation status from BeingPrepared to ReadyforProcessing, however being able to set which citation status to change this to would be beneficial, particularly if libraries are using custom additional citation statuses. Citation statuses are a useful way to be able to communicate progress of titles on lists to academic staff
1 voteThe library can configure any automatic status from the out of the box list or from the Additional Reading List Citation Statuses code table.

Allow librarians to enable/disable "Edit Multiple Citations" feature
In Leganto November 2020 release, there is a new feature which allows users to edit/delete multiple citations. This is a very useful feature and can improve user experience in some cases.
We have a concern that when academics use this feature and bulk delete many citations by mistake, it is not possible for librarians to restore deleted citations.
We prefer to disable this feature for academics and only allow librarians to use it. Can Ex Libris make this feature configurable so the we can decide on whether to enable this for academics?
2 votesWe improved the usability of this feature in March release.

Enable translation of reading list texts
The Leganto UI supports multiple languages, which is very helpful. It is however not possible to translate individual texts of reading lists, such as their titles, into different languages.
Please enable the following:
A way to easily input in multiple (at least two) languages a) reading list titles, b) section names, c) citation public notes, d) section notes, and e) possibly other such reading list related texts that are not part of the bibliographic metadata.
That the relevant translated text (as per above) be displayed depending on what language the user has selected for the UI in the Leganto language…
32 votesWe will not provide the option to translate the text within the reading list. Adding translation for the fields in the list and citation adds a significant amount of complexity from a data perspective, and also complexity for list builders.
