Thank you for this idea. We will work on adding this feature. What kind of metadata would you like to duplicate and copy to the new asset? What kind of data would you not want to copy over to the new asset?
An error occurred while saving the comment Wendy Robertson commentedIt would be really nice if this could move forward. it will be incredible helpful for abstracts at the same conference. We have a staff member who will be adding a lot of Engineering abstracts for things that are not in CDI, nor indexed elsewhere that we can find, and have poor metadata in their pages so we cannot pull them into a reference manager and then output in RIS or Bibtex
An error occurred while saving the comment Wendy Robertson commentedI completely agree with Bec. A few additional specifics on the parent publication are place of publication, series, and series number.

An error occurred while saving the comment Wendy Robertson commentedAn "Other" under publications would help (example) https://iro.uiowa.edu/esploro/outputs/9983557326202771 but we would also need to have the resource sub-type display more prominently. It is buried in the details section. It is not available as a facet. It does not display in the brief view. It has not impact on the broad resource type at the very top (to the left of open access). We need more information displayed prominently both in the research portal and on profiles.

An error occurred while saving the comment Wendy Robertson commentedIt would great to have the same functionality on a researcher profile that is requested for the portal on https://ideas.exlibrisgroup.com/forums/929326/suggestions/44147037

An error occurred while saving the comment Wendy Robertson commentedI hope this will have the same (or better) functionality as in Primo, where you can export in a variety of formats, including email, Bibtex, RIS, and Excel.

This Idea is very broad, and since it was opened new functionality has been added, in particular the Update by CSV. CSV update covers all metadata fields in the Asset but does not include Authors, either creators or contributors, or Files.
It would be helpful to get an updated list of priorities.
An error occurred while saving the comment Wendy Robertson commentedBulk IMPORT allows adding multiple creators and contributors as well as files. Bulk EDITING lacks these features.

An error occurred while saving the comment Wendy Robertson commentedI think if schema tags were added (as requested in another idea exchange, below) then publications would go into Zotero properly.
Esploro datasets in Google Dataset Search
Making Esploro datasets discoverable in the Google Dataset Search is a high priority for positioning Esploro as a robust data repository solution. A prominent research program has deposited several of their datasets in Esploro. At a recent meeting, the PI indicated that not having their Esploro datasets discoverable in the Google Datasets Search was a significant disadvantage when compared to other data repositories like PANGAEA.
Schema.org tags are required for inclusion in Google Datasets, these tags should be added to Esploro assets.

We need to have the student's name visible in the brief list. If that name doesn't display all we see is the person on whose profile the etd is listed and we already no that name so it is of no use. Faculty members want to easily see a list of WHO they advised with a link to their dissertation. Easily seeing the student's name is a critical part of this.
