Saved Records Print out in Brief Display
A second print option should be added so that saved records can be printed as a list, with the same brief display elements in the Pinned record display (title, author, citation). The current print option include the entire record (notes, abstracts, ToC etc.) and if one is part of a consortium, all the holdings in the other member libraries.

Improve the Alma linkresolver design to reduce the appearance multiple online links by a single provider in Primo/Primo VE search results
As a Primo user I would like to see a single link per provider for the content I discover, with the option to view additional links if I wish.
Background
Primo search results deliver multiple links per provider for each search result. Our clients find this overwhelming. We now use a custom linkresolver to bundle the multiple search result links to a single link from each provider. The option to view all links remains under a drop-down menu.
When we migrate to Primo VE the custom linkresolver will no longer work. We will return to the multiple links per provider…

Add link "Back to results list" on the e-Shelf
This is the use-case I want to improve:
A user is constructing complex queries and collecting some records.
From time to time she wants to check the e-Shelf and then continue skimming trough the results list.¡There is no simple navigation path from the e-Shelf back to the results list!
There are 2 less-than-ideal solutions:
1/ repeating the query from tab "This session's queries" (flaws: it is cumbersome to find the corresponding query and too much clicks are necessary)
2/ the back button of the browser (flaws: the yellow e-Shelf star icons are not up to date and too much…25 votes -
sortedy by call number
The current "Sorted by" options are Relevance, Date-oldest, Title, Author, and Date-newest. It would be helpful to also have the option of "Call Number."

"Save query" for zero results
Add the "Save query" option to zero-results pages (similar to how it already appears on results pages) for when you want to be notified of expected future results. For example, you might want an alert for a recently published article not yet in PCI, or an emerging topic that nothing has yet been written about.

Adding reset button to the volume filter in the GetIt tab
The filter in the GetIt tab allows users to filter the display of the volumes by year, volume or description.
It would be helpful to add a reset button that will reset the values chosen and display all values available.
Currently, in order to reset the values in the fields chosen the patron must click on the arrow for the drop-down menu of each field (year, volume, description) and choose the value ALL23 votes -
Add 'Show more' - 'Show less' options
Where Primo displays significant amounts of metadata from a single record in search results and the 'Details' section (such as very long lists of authors / subjects or very detailed summaries, contents notes, etc.), it would be useful if the text being displayed was truncated and options to Show more/less were provided for the user.

Syndetics Unbound on Brief Results
Syndetics Unbound enrichment elements can now be displayed on the search results pages of various discovery systems, but not Primo.
Providing this integration would better showcase Unbound's elements which are very popular with users but are somewhat hidden on the full display page.

cursor location after clearing search box
Choosing "new search" puts the cursor in the search box. But when I click on the small x to clear the search terms, I would like the cursor to return to the search box.

Keep chosen UI language after login
At the moment, following login, the Primo UI changes to either
a) preferred UI user language as indicated in the user preferences, or
b) default language
This leads to odd situations, for example,
User changes UI (from German) to English -> everything is now in English
Does a search etc etc -> still in English
Logs in - Login etc window in English
After successful login, the user is returned to Primo... but in German!
This is inexplicable for the user, and unless they know about preferences, and where to set them, it happens every time.
Note to change preferences…

Displaying author field in collections in Primo
We have a collection in Primo showcasing publications from our researchers and so we would like to be able to display the author's name to promote the book. See screenshot for what currently displays (title and book cover).

Acquire SpringShare and integrate LibGuides functionality into Primo UI.
LibGuides and the other SpringShare components provide supplemental functionality for many libraries. Many Primo customers are pointing to LibGuides for things like Database Search/A-Z, content management, and subject guides. Acquiring that resource would allow Ex Libris to incorporate the product into Primo and would allow Ex Libris to integrate the product into the secure architecture and FedRAMP approved architecture.

Offer phone view to low-end devices
On mid-tier devices, such as a low-end laptop or a Surface Pro, Primo is very slow to respond, and quickly pegs the CPU doing trivial tasks such as simply scrolling the page. After doing some benchmarking on an Android phone, we discovered that some of the performance issues can be mitigated by rendering the phone view. I request that the more efficient phone view be available to lower-end devices.

Include Local collections in Collection Facet
Primo with PCI and CDI do not show Local Collection names in the Collection Facet. This is a disservice to our locally loaded collections. The way this facet is currently configured, it only relates with metadata fields on CDI records and will not show local collections.

Add Next and Previous arrows to Digital Collections
Add Next and Previous arrows to Details pages in Digital Collections and, ideally, to image viewers so that users don't have to click back to the collection thumbnails after viewing each collection item/image.
This could work the same way as the Next and Previous arrows in the Primo Details page for search results.

Browse shelf only to display electronic material
Nowadays, browse Shelf Configuration dialog box, can be configurated with one of the following options:
- Browse Bibliographic Headings – if you want to display both physical and electronic material in Browse Shelf.
- Browse Shelf Listing – if you want to display physical items only in Browse Shelf. This is the default option.I ask for a new option to display only electronic material, this is useful for those libraries that not use a standard classification system being that the physical browse shelf is a disaster.

Fill the gap of Open Access CDI records not marked with the Open Access icon and facet
The Open Access icon and facet were added to Primo in May 2018, per previous submission: https://ideas.exlibrisgroup.com/forums/308176-primo/suggestions/19130257-open-access-flag-for-open-access-content
This is applied at metadata level by provider feed first for PCI and now CDI.
This current decision is the root cause for a significant gap in the number of OA records incorrectly not marked as OA.
For example, tens of thousands of PloS One articles not marked as OA.In September 2022 a change is made in terms of the link proxy being removed when it is determined at the link level that the access is OA.
But unfortunately this change is…19 votes -
add a check box feature in the "Refine my Results" lists on the left column in each facet
The value of the faceted search is that it leads the searcher quickly and efficiently to the desired result. The checkbox facet type lets users select multiple values.
We would like to add a check box feature in the "Refine my Results" lists on the left column in each facet, as is already being done in the "More options" links therein. The reason for this request is that in our opinion, the user will notice from the beginning this option exists in the facet, and it will facilitate his search. Some users don't click "More options", and thus they will…18 votes -
Display e-book-only call numbers
Please have Primo display call numbers for items that are only available in electronic format. For example, if we have an item only as an e-book, no call number displays and that also means that the Virtual Browse function doesn't work. Even though the call number for an e-book might seem irrelevant, it's actually very useful in determining the focus of a book (e.g., a book about politics with a BF call number tells us it's looking at the topic from a psychological perspective). Thanks for considering.
