  1. Allow re-ordering of categories (Online Services; GES) within ViewIt area

    It is currently possible to modify the Online Services Order and General Electronic Services Order, so that some services will be displayed at top or bottom within these individual categories (Fulfillment Configuration > Discovery Interface Display Logic). However, all the Online Services always display above all the General Electronic Services. We would like to be able to modify this default, to move a single (or all) GES above the Online Services in ViewIt display.   2. Searching/Connecting Barcodes from other Institutions (Consortium)

    In a Consortium, it is currently not possible to look up an item from another institution zone with its barcode in Alma. It's also not possible to connect the fee to an item from another institution zone, based on this same architecture issue.
    We would like to have the possibility to search for items from other institutions to, among other things, place request on them on behalf of a patron directly in Alma - therefore this Idea goes along with https://ideas.exlibrisgroup.com/forums/308173-alma/suggestions/17887696-initiate-consortium-fulfillment-requests-for-items

  3. Allow for recurring monthly allocation

    We have restricted funds where we get a monthly endowment. It would be nice to have a recurring entry feature where the allocation would be set up at the beginning of the year to apply an allocation once a month. Alternatively, the ability to process a monthly allocation and then duplicate it for the following 11 months would be an improvement. Many accounting platforms have "recurring journals"- we'd like something similar.

  4. Display all subject headings in results lists

    It would be helpful to see all subject headings displayed in the search results page and to see all bibliographic headings after exporting a results list to Excel.

    Currently after a search, the results list only shows three subject headings per bibliographic record. If there are more subject headings listed in the bibliographic record, it is only indicated with the phrase “and others”.

    Exporting the results list to Excel also shows only three subject headings with the information “and others” if more subject headings are mentioned in the bibliographic record.

  5. Physical Item Editor Templates

    It would be great if we could use templates for adding new items.
    At the moment, whenever we add an item, for each single one of them we have to manually fill in the same values in "Material type" and "Item call number type". The "inventory date" has to be chosen manually as well.
    It would be extremely useful if we could load the physical item editor form with some values already filled in, and with the date fields automatically filled with the current day's date.

    Dear all,

    We are adding physical item templates to our roadmap.

    It will be possible to save an item as a template, and then use this template to pre-populate new items when they are created.

    The system will remember the user's template selection, so they won't be required to specify the template each time they create an item (only when the item differs from the previous item created from a template).

  6. Add Loan Information to Fulfillment Set Export

    When Create Fulfillment Set is used to create a set of items that are Overdue, Lost, Claimed Returned etc it would be very useful for the loan and borrower's information to be included in the exported spreadsheet.

    Currently only the Process Type and Due Date are included. Including the Loan date, Patron's name, Primary ID, and Preferred email address would allow staff flexibility in contacting patrons by mail merge or manually.

  7. Ability to have more than customize payment status (paid/not paid)

    We have several statuses that an invoice goes through - received, Open, coded, ready for payment and paid. Having the option to use configurable statuses would reduce the number of times we have to go into SAP to check payment status.

  8. Add a field for Library URL to the Library details that can be used in Letters.

    Hello,

    Most of libraries have a separate website with all relevant information for patrons. In Patron facing letters in Alma it would be useful to have a link to this library website.

    Currently, there is no dedicated field in library details configuration where such link could be stored and then passed to the letters.

    Please add a dedicated field for library website in library details configuration and feed this field to the Alma Letters.

  9. Replace the search index label "Creator" with "Author"

    the label used for the author index in the title search is confusing, implying that it is the creator of the Alma record, as shown in Alma Analytics, and not the author of the title.

  10. role scopes in api

    We are trying to build a simple application where our staff can request Alma roles be added to an account.

    We can retrieve a list of all roles from the Alma API for users to choose from; however, this list does not clarify what scopes are available for which roles.

    Can this info be provided via the API?

  11. Differentiate Success & Warning colors in MDE

    It would be nice to be able to configure the colors within the Metadata Editor, specially when it comes to the success, warning and error messages. The warning messages seem to have the same color as the success messages that makes less obvious if they are very valid warning messages to look at.

  12. Avoid duplicate Item call numbers

    At present, when duplicating an item, barcode is automatically generated and saved even before any changes in a duplicated item record are done. That means in practice, that if - for some reason - Item call number or any other field were not modified, duplication is created. That is a huge problem in fields that 1] require unique value, 2] there are no warnings about duplicate value in any moment of the process.   13. (Option to) make an aborted search request permanent and prevent it from loading in the background

    Sometimes you hit the search button to early by mistake, starting a request that takes quite a long time to load. If you cancel this request and make a new request, the new one will often be completed earlier, giving you the right results. Yet the original request would continue to load in the background, making the results list to switch back to the wrong results.

  15. Ability to zoom in on an item on the mobile app.

    When using the app on a mobile phone or tablet it would be helpful if i could click an item that i was searching for or zoom in the screen.

    When looking for items at the shelf it would useful if found items could either have a check box or could be greyed out or highlighted.

    We'd like to be able to see analytics data for resource sharing requests placed via Course Reserves citations. We are told by Support that this is not currently supported, and it was suggested that we create an idea here.

  18. "view in discovery" - a link with flaws

    The "view in discovery" function produces only a rudimentary link structure, which is not identical to the link structure produced by a call by end users accessing a portfolio directly in PrimoVE.

    Thus, the "view in discovery" function, which is designed to verify the presentation of portfolios in PrimoVE that are administered in Alma, is currently of limited use because administrators cannot assume that the view produced by this function actually corresponds to the view encountered by end users.

    For adequate quality assurance, it would be necessary if administrators could freely customize the link structure of the "view in discovery"…

  19. Physical Item Hold Requests

    Multi site library - prevent users from placing a physical item hold request on items that are available on the shelf of the library they are placing the hold request from - if the item is not available on the shelf but a copy is available at a different location then placing a physical item hold request should be allowed.

  20. Add Archived/Unarchived Visibility Facet to Reading List

    When a course is archived all of its associated reading lists also become archived but when you look in the Reading List page there is no way to determine which reading lists are archived without clicking the ellipse next to each reading list to see whether it has an Unarchive option.

    It would be nice to be able to filter for this with a facet like you can with Courses.
