Allow user to ‘Withdraw’ and ‘Open Predicted Items’ from the ‘Received Items Screen’.
Currently, ‘Withdraw’ and ‘Open Predicted Items’ functions cannot be performed from the ‘Received Items List’, during normal receiving operations.

Instead, a user must back out of the receiving windows, perform a title search, and access these features through the ‘List of Items’ window.

This drastically decreases efficiency in performing routine tasks in Prediction, Receiving, and Weeding.
What should be changed: As Serials Processors, we would like to see the ‘Withdraw’ and ‘Open Predicted Items’ functions added to the ‘Received Items List’ window, so that all serials management tasks can be done from one screen. This would eliminate the excessive clicking needed to navigate to another window to perform these actions.
Dear community, as part of the ongoing UX improvements in Alma, the "Receive new material" screen (aka Receiving WB) is planned to be refactored and support the need described in this idea. For more information see Alma roadmap:

Even though this post is older, I want to comment to hopefully demonstrate that this is still very much needed and wanted. Quite often publications will publish double issues that mean one issue will need to be deleted, and having to go all the way into the item list to do this is such a pain, both in the number of clicks it takes and the time it takes to load each page. And then you have to click back into the receiving workbench. The same goes for opening more predicted items, especially because their is no automated way of doing this.

Great news that this suggestion has been accepted! This would be a great improvement to our workflow and would mean a lot less clicking and going between different screens. Like Lindsay commented I could not find this in the roadmap you linked to, I hope this improvement will be included.

Thank you for this update. Just wanted to note that after reviewing the prototype you linked to, it does not indicate that the new Receiving WB will offer the the options requested in this idea. Will the new functionality also include the options to 'Withdraw' and 'Open Predicted Items' from the workbench? If not, then we ask that these important improvements be reconsidered for inclusion in the UX upgrade that you have on your roadmap.
Thank you!

I absolutely agree!!
I also expect to see here the expected arrival date: it's not confortable at all to edit each single copy to see this fundamental information! -

Agreed, "open expected items" is something I would expect to see in the receiving workbench.

Received Items List (for journal issues). We would like an option in the ellipsis for Withdraw (in addition to Edit Inventory Item, Receive, Write to RFID, View Hidden). In fact, all of the options provided by the ellipsis buttons in List of Items (so Duplicate and Withdraw)

It is easy to accidently receive something in the Receiving Workbench. Therefore functionality should exist to withdraw items from the same screen. It is a minimum of 6 clicks to be able to withdraw an item when you are in the Receiving Workbench.

To be clear, this is for continuous receiving.

Receiving workbench should be the most logical place to have an Open Expected Items button when you run out of predicted items. An option to withdraw expected items on the receiving workbench should also be available if during receipt the receiving operator becomes aware that an issue will not be published.
