Find and Manage Users by User Group
Add the ability to find and manage users and create user-based sets based on User Group.
As part of the Alma July 2020 release “Advanced Search for Users” feature, new search options have been added for searching user records. The option to run advanced searches has also been added. One of the many new search indexes is the User Group.
Search results may be saved as a users set.

Absolutely agree that we should be able to create and filter sets for uses using more criteria. This functionality should be OTB really.
At the least we should be able to create a set based on the user's date of the expiration (eg: Users expired before January 1st) Currently you only can filter using the non-active or expired option.
The active/inactive status for the user should be a separate criteria from "expired".

We agree that adding the ability to filter users by user group would be extremely helpful!

It's possible to do this through the very backwards method of constructing an analytics report on the User Group, exporting the Primary IDs, then importing into a new set on USERNAME. But needing to hop in and out of Analytics and mess with text file exports is counterintuitive: there should be logical sets for this.

Agreed, this functionality one would expect to already be available based on the advanced searching you can do with title/repository searching when creating sets.

There is another idea that is nearly identical to this. Is it possible to merge ideas (and votes!) in the idea exchange?

It would be helpful to filter by accounts with fines/fees. If that could be a set that we can tap into via the API, that would be awesome.

I think this was one of the first questions we asked Ex Libris during the ALMA testperiod last July. We are now on Production and still would like a filter or search possibility on User Group.

Yes, it is strange that this is not already possible.

We second the idea to have advanced search features for users like we do for the repository. There are a lot of useful fields, including Statistics Categories, in user records that should be available for searching.

Please allow us to filter user searches and create user sets using criteria from all the viewable columns (e.g. User group, Job category, expiration date, blocks, and notes.)
