The 'Claimed Returned' action will be available for lost loans. It will change the loan status to 'claimed returned'.
A customer parameter will determine whether the change to claimed returned should trigger a 'Find Item' action (and refund the lost item fees) + change to 'claim return', or only change to 'claim return'.

Dear all, we are currently looking into the possibility of a re-design of the quick cataloging functionality - we will take this request into consideration as part of this future change.

An approach we would like to take is to improve the Fines/Fees Notifications Profiles so that if no library is selected then a single notice will be generated with the fees of all of the libraries.

An error occurred while saving the comment Mona Ammon commentedAnother case would be the ability to have a notice that normally goes out based on the library to go out for the entire institution. Example: fines/fee notification letter is sent out per library for fees generated for items at a specific library. It would be preferable to get one notice for all fees on your account no matter the library - for all libraries at that institution.

An error occurred while saving the comment Mona Ammon commentedI am out of votes. But really want this. Also I think this request could go farther. The bursars integration profile could be more flexible with more criteria for determining when to send fees. Expired accounts are one of them. We get around this by putting the fees in dispute which is not optimal. Adding statistical category would be nice. I could then collapse additional user groups.

From the Circulation Desk user update form, it will be possible to turn on a ‘keep my loan history’ check mark.
Patrons that have this check on will not have their loans anonymized when the anonymization process runs.
It will be possible to get this indication also from API, and from Primo.
The option to turn ‘keep my loan history’ on should be a library decision

An error occurred while saving the comment Mona Ammon commentedThe loan status will show recalled if request on item. You can change the wording on that label to be more meaningful.

If an item is already marked lost because user did not return it on time and they got billed we do the following. Mark it found (we do this under a login that does not send return receipts). Then mark it claim returned. We also have our lost and overdue profiles set up not to function on CR status. If we find the item it is scanned in and all good. If we do not we mark it found again no return receipt sent. And then mark it lost so it bills again. Yes, a bit convoluted but not as much as other processes I see. Our biggeest issues with CR was that if we wanted to do multiple searches it was hard to track that. Recently we decided to just add note to box that pops up when you mark CR. That shows in an analytics report. Each time a search is done and item not found a new note is added. These end up being loan notes.
