    Hopefully I’m reading this correctly, as this functionality was added in the Alma May 2018 release to configure whatever fields and subfields you’d like.
    I just tested it in our Sandbox to add Holdings MARC 562, specifically the a subfield, and it correctly displays in the Primo Get It.

    Hi - You should be able to do this already via the Primo Back Office, or ask that it be done on your behalf if you are a Total Care site.

    Hi ritu - yes, it’s possible already to change the user group and then purge that whole group, but then you lose the ability to report meaningfully on data in Analytics. The argument for giving more options for the purge job is that we shouldn’t have to essentially corrupt our data in Analytics just to remove user accounts from Alma.

    Hi,
    There are actually 3 collections like this with 'Citation Available'.
    When we discovered these, we gave very strong feedback that including non-full text results using this status was unacceptable to us, as undermining the standard Primo behaviour of the default search only including full text results. The only solution currently available is to deactivate these collections, which we have done, and gave feedback also that we would do so for any other collections using this status. Unfortunately this does impact discovery, but is a price we are willing to pay to improve the access side and retain consistency of the user inferface behaviour. We were promised that this status would not be used for any other collections, and I have not identified any new ones since January 2017.

    If this was introduced, I would definitely like it to be opt-in only, as I would not like to make our users have to see and click past a popup every time they just want to do a search.

    This was mentioned in various places, such as the webinar for the Primo February 2018 release, as coming in the May 2018 Primo release. Details are never confirmed of course until the release is officially out in Sandboxes, but I believe both an icon and a facet have been mentioned.

    I agree that the policy set by the institution should be upheld regardless of the method for removing a user account.
    I also find it confusing that the 'Delete User Policy' is completely disregarded when you delete a user account manually directly in the account, but it is taken into account when running the Purge Users job. Why is it not called 'Purge User Policy'?

    I've smoothed out our workflow a little as a workaround by changing 'Encoding' to 'UTF-8' in the Keeping This Item Tile Code Table. The little drop down arrow still appears with just UTF-8 listed, but hopefully users will just go straight to Download. This only works as a bit of a kludge though because we only have the one encoding option enabled, so more configuration options are still sorely needed.

    We'd also had feedback from users that the New UI display for Export RIS is confusing and takes many more clicks than is necessary.
    We would love to see this idea implemented, with more configuration options such as:
    * Allow encoding options to be relabelled, for example to change UTF-8 to EndNote UTF-8
    * Allow encoding options to be reordered, for example to move UTF-8 to the top of the list
    * If all bar one encoding option has been disabled, clicking on RIS should trigger the download. Clicks currently needed: 1st click on RIS, 2nd click on Encoding, 3rd click on UTF-8, and 4th click on Download. Or, if a user figures out that steps can be skipped: 1st click on RIS and 2nd click on Download

    What a great idea! It would make Analytics so much more user friendly to have more guides and Alma specific search index information in-system. Out of curiosity, did Ex Libris suggest the submission of this idea after a SalesForce case?

    We have included both Physical Items and Available in the Library ie Physical Items in place right now as entries in the static Top Level facet.
    We’ve also added a local dynamic facet for our special Curriculum collection for our primary education courses, based on three locations in our Alma LMS.
    Perhaps something to explore that might meet this idea?

    We have a top level facet configured for this called "Physical items", in addition to the out of the box "Available in the Library". In brief, it adds top level facet data to the PNX if the resource is published to Primo from Alma as Alma-P.

    Hi Caroline,
    Are you still experiencing this? Is it on Chrome?
    We had the same problem, but the defect was fixed for MT in the August 2017 release on 6th August.
    If you're a local site, you'll need to wait until the 13th.
    But if you're MT, you might want to check and see if it's still happening for you.

    Adjusting the OTB configuration of the GetIt Link 1 Mapping Table from Out@@Display to Full@@Activate stops the opening of th unstyled 'Home' browser tab. I don't really understand why the OTB is set to a workflow that's such a dead end, is ugly, takes more clicks, and opens an unnecessary new browser tab, but at least it's easily fixed in the Back Office.

    Gabriele Hofler has created a great bookmarklet for the New UI which shows the Source Records. Your staff could then activate it on an as-needed basis, and not clutter up the display for users. Feedback and Knowledge Base
