Add a feature in "manage projects" to hide or group projects
Add a feature in "manage projects" to hide or group projects. Our instructors have a long list of projects that students have invited them to that they'd like to organize into current and archived areas to more easily navigate.

Abbreviations for in text citations
When including citations in text via word application, allow opportunity to use abbreviation citation instead of full citation. E.G.
currently shows as (National Health Service (NHS), 2014) whereas it would be helpful to have the option to pick it to automatically be (NHS, 2014) without manual editing.3 votes -
Remove "Use login from my institution" link from user login dialog box
The RefWorks login dialog box has a link that says "Use login from my institution." Since our institution does not have Open Athens or any other the other similar tools, this link is misleading for our patrons.

Añadir una campo personalizado. Add a custom field
Add a custom field. I want the custom field to look the same as all the other fields, in all the references: to be visible when you edit, without having to go reference by reference, click "add more fields", search and fill it in. Is it possible to do that?3 votes -
Automatically switch from Title to Short Title in repeated references
In Chicago Notes & Bibliography style, repeated references are supposed to display a shortened title.
For example, the following book:
Barbie Zelizer, Remembering to Forget: Holocaust Memory through the Camera's Eye (Chicago: University of Chicago Press, 2003), 7.
Subsequent citations after the first should appear as:
Zelizer, Remembering to Forget 7.
Please add an option to replace the Title field with the Short Title field in repeated references. (Or better yet, use AI to automate shortening titles!)

Fix TypeErrors related to uBlock Origin
Users who use uBlock Origin and try to log in to RefWorks are unable to do so. (Tested in Firefox and Chrome.) The devtools console reports a
TypeError
regarding some tracking structures found unexpectedlyundefined
at login time. There are very simple ways to handle such cases gracefully in the code, and should be a simple fix for any modern website.Right now, there is a help document at https://knowledge.exlibrisgroup.com/RefWorks/Knowledge_Articles/RefWorks_Browser_Best_Practices, to which a support representative will send users, upon request. This document explains that RefWorks does not play well with the likes of uBlock Origin, and requests that users…

Keep search terms while searching PubMed from within New RefWorks
In the Advanced search form, if a user types in a term then decides to change the search field, the text they type is erased. This leads to user frustration. I reported it to the Support Portal and go the reply that is by design not a bug. This would be a suggested improvement, if you would like to make suggestions for improving the product please add them to our forum at https://ideas.exlibrisgroup.com/forums/909445-refworks . The suggestions made here are used by the management and development team to chart future product development.
So here it is and thank you for considering…1 vote -
No menu bar above toolbar
The blue menu bar doesn't reduce with the window, resulting in the account and language tab float over the toolbar. It prevents the user to access some tools when using RefWorks alongside other programs, with reduced windows side by side

Ordering of references in folders compared to in Bibliography
Please can it be made possible to order references in a folder in the same order as a bibliography.
I wanted to view the references in a Refworks folder in the same order that they were supplied by the bibliography function.
I tried ordering them in the folder by "publication date" but this didn't seem to provide the same order.1 vote -

Reference editing - Increase the sidebar window size
My suggestion is for the referenced editing sidebar window. Can we increase the size of this side window? Why not give the user more room to see and view what they are editing? I know for myself, I'd like to have the ability to increase or decrease the width of the edit sidebar window.

For institutions with multiple users create a syncing system
Allow institutions to create accounts on behalf of users via Google.
Instead of having users create an account, admins simply provide users with the login and password for their account.

Modify the RIS file import from Scopus to recognize origin
When the automatic importing from Scopus was working, there was an icon indicating it was from Scopus. This does not happen with the importing from Scopus as an RIS. Can that Icon be added?

Espacio muy estrecho al visualizar = Very narrow space when displaying
Cuando se visualiza una referencia, el espacio que se abre a la derecha, en vertical, es demasiado estrecho. ¿Se puede ampliar al doble, por lo menos?

Make <title-short> element in CSL styles searchable from bibliography function
Currently in CSL styles the <title-short> element metadata isn't searched from the Create Bibliography function. For example, searching for APA doesn't return American Psychological Association 7th edition (annotated bibliography) (CSL). Requesting that this be made a searchable element.

Allow verbatim text from author field
Have the option to remove the automatic 'Last name, first name' format of the author field and instead pipe verbatim text into references. This would especially help when the author is an organisation.
1 voteI’m happy to update this idea is planned. When entering an author name without a comma it will be used verbatim; when a comma is used it will be interpreted as last name, first name.

Make save button more prominent
It would be great if the save button on the reference information editing screen was more prominent. For example, it could be a different color, like blue. Right now it is hard to find and I accidentally click the x button at the top instead, which means I lose my work. You could also add a window that asks if you want to save when you click the x button. Thank you.
