URL link to download latest APK's for China users who don't have access to Google Play Store.
URL link or website to download latest APK's for China users who don't have access to Google Play Store. Currently we have students in China who can't travel because of COVID and it would be good to provide them with a way to download the app. This is also useful for users with Huawei devices which doesn't support Google Play Store anymore.
5 votesWe only distribute the apps through the official app store channels. This ensures the integrity of the app and the update process for end users.

Allow setting tile order for each device
Allow users to set the tile order by device. The default tile order can still be controlled by the algorithm, but give users the option to override the default and set their own tile order. The algorithm is too unpredictable.
9 votesDue to the number of devices and screen dimensions that wold need to be considered here, we will not be undertaking this development in the short to medium term

Ability to remove/hide search/share/feedback functionality
there is currently no way to remove or hide the native search, share, or feedback functionality. We would like to have the ability to remove or hide these native functionalities altogether, as the University has its own search and feedback mechanisms. Having these native CampusM functions always visible increases confusion with students, and ensure difficulty with our business processes, as we have to manage more different sources/functionalities for students.
42 votesThe ability to remove feedback functionality already exists in the app. We are currently not planning to enable the removal of the share or the search functionalities.

Make AEKs front-end configurable pages
Changes to AEKs currently require modification from Ex Libris. It would be helpful if AEKs would for the content-part of the pages would become manageable from within the App Manager. This would allow customers to modify text, edit links, change background pictures etc. without affecting the Integrations of the AEKs.
32 votesThis has been superseded with product integrations which are configurable through app manager.

Extend the login timeout for App Manager
App Manager will currently log you out of your session if you are idle for something like 5 minutes or 10 minutes. I haven't timed it exactly, but it definitely feels extremely abrupt. It makes it difficult to configure users permissions since there are so many options to consider, by the time I'm finished delegating permissions to a user I get timed out and all my work is lost.
2 votesDue to security requirements from customers, we will be maintaining the current logout time in the admin interface

For campusM/Primo integration: Detect PDFs trying to open within app and force link to open in external browser
campusM has not been able to provide working access to Primo search functionality within the app. As a result, our app links out to the Primo web version. On Android phones, EBSCO PDFs cannot be accessed because they open in the same window. This is a major problem for us as EBSCO databases are heavily used.

Add the ability to customise connection messages on devices
Can we have ability to create customsed connection error pages while opening the modules when there are internet connection problems?
Those messages will be more user-friendly then a simple "No Connection" message on connection error page.

Due to complexities around how courses are managed in the timetabling system and VLE, it would be extremely challenging to create a generic solution that would enable this functionality.

Windows 10 app?
With the increase in Windows 10 apps and acceptance as an OS, is there any opportunity for campusM to reconsider producing a windows 10 application?
3 votesThe market share for Windows phone has continued to drop this year, despite Windows 10 being released. Given its lack of popularity, we cannot commit to developing an app specific for Windows Phone at this stage. however, we continue to monitor device OS popularity.
-
Impersonation Function
Allow impersonation - so a user would be able to 'impersonate' another user by entering their email address, then for a limited time in the app the impersonated email address would be returned instead of their own.

Allow labels for AEK screens that are not displayed to end users
We would like a way to distinguish between AEK screens / menu options that are named the same.
We have identically named screens / menus because we have SSO and non-SSO versions of the tile and we don't want to confuse our students by having different names for the same logical tile just because of the way it's delivered i.e. device or web page.
It's a problem for us because when trying to tie roles to a screen it's really hard to know which version of the screen to use.

Should be able to make notes on your timetable.
For example, if you have a seminar, you can leave a reminder on your timetable to let you know that you haven't yet answered all the questions etc. Or if you need to pick up some handouts before attending the lecture.
