  1. Confirm button for adding manual charges and/or ability to edit/delete manual charges

It would be helpful to have a confirm button when adding manual charges, just as you do when waiving charges. Also, can we have the ability to edit or delete manual charges? We add charges for replacement costs for lost books, for example, and with no confirm button it can be too easy to mis-enter an amount, and as there is no functionality to edit or delete a charge you then have no option but to waive a charge and start again.

  2. Lost Loan Status

Closing a lost loan changes the item's status to missing. This means that items we know are lost will turn up on lists for missing item searches, even though we know we won't find them. Not closing the loans means that we can't purge patrons from the database, even if we know that we are not going to get back the item or be paid the replacement fee.

It would be preferable if items retained a status of Lost even if the loan is closed, so that we can differentiate between items that are lost and items that just can't…

  3. All items loan and hold requests history - in citation view.

The new information available in the 'Other details' tab of items is great, can we also have this information made available in the citation view 'More Info' tab please?

  4. Monitor Requests & Item Process Activity Status Filter

Add Activity Status: Rejected to "Monitor Requests & Item Processes"
It would be extremely helpful to have the Activity Status Rejected on the "Monitor Requests & Item Processes" Activity Status Filters. If it could be added as an option with Active, Completed and All, that would remove a ton of extra time and labor for our fulfillment processes.

  5. Add Workflow Note to Purchase Request Screen

At the University of Cumbria, we have configured Leganto questions, and we are using it in combination with a Citation Processing Rule to create a purchase request in Alma.

When we view the purchase requests in Alma, we see the "Requester note" as we have configured this to display. This works well but we'd also like to see the "Workflow note" as well on the purchase request screen as it contains information about the purchase (e.g. library, number of copies, etc.).

The idea is for Ex Libris to allow us to enable the display the "Workflow note" on the purchase…

  6. Ability to aggregate claims to one vendor should be made available for Legal deposit

For the acquisition method “Purchase” the letter “PO line claim letter” is used, for the acquisition method “Legal deposit” and “Legal deposit - without letter” the “Legal deposit claim letter” is used. For the “Purchase” acquisition method an additional claim letter is available “PO Line Aggregated Claim Letter”, which in the event of there being more than one claim to the same vendor aggregates these into one letter. The same is not available for legal deposit. This means that when we have one large vendor (ex: supplier delivering on behalf of many different publishers), which is common for legal deposit,…

  7. Add HTML to Analytics dashboards

It would be cool if we could include active HTML in our dashboards.

For example, ibrarians who are reviewing new electronic acquistions could pull up a list of new acquisition and, in a one click, link directly through to the resources. (Currently, they would need to pull down the report, find the URL in the data, then copy and paste that back into the browser)

Additionally, outside images (via <img> tag) could be incorporated into reports for branded presentations.

By default in OBIEE, only Administrators have the right to use HTML in the data format of any column.

    This can…

  8. New fields on Alma screens missing from Primo RS form

In the December 2017 enhancement, the fields Chapter Author, Chapter Title, and Editor were added to the Alma Resource Sharing screen and Chapter was renamed Chapter Number.
However, these fields were not added to the Primo Resource Sharing form, which means all the details must be entered in one field such as. Chapter details: title, author, number.
As most Resource Sharing requests arrive via the Primo form, it would be helpful if EXL fixed this too.

  9. Monitor Requests & Item Processes screen: show item Storage Location ID and Description

Monitor Requests & Item Processes screen: show item Storage Location ID and Description

In the Monitor Requests & Item Processes screen it would be extremely useful to show the item Storage Location ID and the Description. And / Or to have item Storage Location ID and Description available in the excel export of this screen.

  10. Fulfillment Configuration Utility for resource sharing

I would like Fulfillment Configuration Utility to also work for Resource Sharing. Or a separate service for RS.

    It is invaluable in troubleshooting.

This service could be a light in the dark cave that is RS.

  11. Don't Require Clicking 'Done' to Trigger Loan Receipt Notices

Currently, staff need to click done after checking out items to a patron to trigger loan receipts. This is an unnecessary step and should be eliminated. Instead, trigger receipts when an item is checked out, much like how returned item notices are triggered.

  12. Add option to Quick Cataloging Template for Publish/Don't Publish to OCLC.

Add a checkbox option to the Quick Cataloging Template for Publish/Don't Publish to OCLC. This would prevent brief records for items created by circulation staff for professor's personal copies from being sent to OCLC and added as new records.

  13. Alma Analytics: add area for links to CZ authorities within Alma Analytics Subject Areas

Add area for links to CZ authorities within Alma Analytics Subject Areas. In Alma author headings are linked to authorities (GND) via the authority ID (035$a) stored in the $0 subfield of fields 1xx and 7xx. In this case binocular appear next to fields 1xx and 7xx in the MDE. We have noticed that in some cases the number in subfield $0 is false and the binoculars do not display. We would like to report on author headings that have a $0 subfield in the 1xx/7xx but are not linked to an authority.

  14. Title search - index the 245 field on its own

My library catalogs most new material according to the international cataloging standard, Resource Description and Access (RDA). One requirement of RDA is that each work is given a unique access point. When cataloging a new work, our catalogers must search our database to determine if their 245 field value (subfields a, n, p) is unique. This is impossible for them to do with the out-of-the-box search fields in Alma when their title is only one or two words long because the Title field searches 38 MARC fields and over 100 subfields. In our database, a basic title search of the…

  15. Update the Subscription dates range in batch for every invoice line on an invoice

I would like to be able to update the subscription dates range in batch for every invoice line on an invoice, rather than having to open and enter the data manually for each line. I'm currently entering an invoice with over 60 lines, and the subscription dates are the same for every one of those lines. Even though I can click "this year" for each one, that's still a LOT of clicking.

  16. More customization for Duplicate Title Analysis job

Request to be able to further customize the Duplicate Title Analysis job in Alma. For example, include/exclude CZ records and specify resource type (physical/electronic, book/journal/map etc).

Additionally, identifying the "preferred" record is extremely limited. Being able to select the preferred record by MARC/DC field and/or subfield would be helpful.

  17. Enhance Shelf Report

Shelf report is a great tool but only searches for items based on permanent location and not their current/temporary location. As a result, items that are on display will display exactly as if they are missing and scanning a display shelf shows that the items were scanned but do not belong in that location, the same status as if an item from the traditional shelving was placed on the display shelf.

Additionally, it was previously posted (June 28, 2022) that it would be useful to be able to select multiple locations when performing a shelf report. It was commented that…

  18. Add Bursar Transaction ID dimension to Fines and Fees Subject Area in Analytics

Bursar Transaction ID is a critical data element when an institution uses a Bursar integration profile to export fines/fees and import payments. We recently implemented this integration and are looking at ways to reconcile Alma transactions with data extracted from our bursar. If Bursar Transaction ID were present as a dimension in Analytics, this would be much easier. It should be added.

  19. Order of action buttons in the POL

In the new PO line interface, the action buttons available when creating a POL is not in a practical order, which causes a lot of our staff to press “save” instead of “save and continue”. This causes the POL to remain in status “in review”. The user also must use more energy to locate the correct action button. We have two different suggestions for solving this:

    1. Move the actions “Save and continue” and “order now” to the right part of the menu line and have this be marked in a stronger color than the other buttons. In the current design…

  20. Change Financial Year dates after they have been set

It doesn't look as if it is possible to change the start and finish dates of any financial year in Acquisitions Configuration > Fund And Ledger Fiscal Period table mapping tables once the year has been created, unless it is deleted completely.

Can it be made possible for the start and (in particular) the end dates to be edited having already been set and saved, if so required?

Being able to do this would be of particular benefit around the time of a financial year rollover, especially if an institution cannot be certain that all financial transactions for the outgoing…
