  1. Analytics Report for Staff Activity

I would like the ability to analyze staff activity in Alma Analytics (how many times a staff member checks something out or in, marks something missing, scans in an item for fulfillment, etc.)

  2. Ability to report on Note (5XX) fields - bibliographic details folder/dimension

We request that the Bibliographic Details dimension in Alma Analytics have an entry added for Notes, wherever the Subject Area has "Bibliographic Details" presented. This Notes attribute should include all 5XX fields and subfields in the bib record. The data should use a separator (e.g., ;) to identify the information from different and repeated 5XX fields. This is useful information for libraries for reporting purposes.

  3. Add general note(s) field from the Electronic Collection Editor to Analytics

Currently, only the public and authentication notes seem to be available. It would be useful to have a way to find and report on those collections that have general notes added.

  4. Add all fields from Invoice Payment Information area to Analytics

Currently the only field from the Invoice Payment Information area that is available in the Funds Expenditure subject area is Payment Status. I would like to be able to retrieve Payment Date, Payment Identifier, and Payment Amount in Analytics as well. These would be helpful for some of my reporting, especially when the payment amount is different from the invoice total because accounts payable has added or removed tax.

  5. Alma Analytics: Add "Pickup Location" to the Borrowing Requests Subject Area

We need tp know which local library locations requested how many items from each Lending institution in an analytic report. When Borrowing requests first go out go out we can easily see which of our, let's say 4, different library pick up locations ordered each item by looking at the pick up location parameter in the facets, The pick up location is even maintained in Alma once the item is filled. But it is not available in the Borrowing Request subject area of the analytic. We can only get an aggregate campus total for requests borrowed from each Lending Institution.…

  6. Have AFN/FN loan/fine information available in IZ

    Similar idea to https://ideas.exlibrisgroup.com/forums/308173-alma/suggestions/44761048-user-purge-should-be-made-afn-aware-and-not-allow

BUT there should be information in the IZ analytics so that an IZ can determine if a local patron has an AFN (or FN) loan or fine.

This doesn't need to be the full loan/fine information, but could be as simple as a flag that says "active AFN/FN loan", "active AFN/FN fine".

At this time, there is no way in the IZ (without opening each patron account within Alma) to see if someone has an active loan or fine outside of the IZ.

This is required at a number of our institutions for when patrons leave…

  7. Add primary/user id of a Interested User as a Fund Expenditure Facet

Several Institutions have use cases that require the need to find the Primary ID of an interested User. This would allow an easier means of utilizing feeder reports in conjunction with the Fulfilment Subject Area. Currently, there is no easy way to obtain this information. Credit goes to Jihyun Song of Soul National Unversity for presenting this issue.

  8. Alma needs ti have the ability to identify bib, holdings, and item records created by individual staff operators.

The MDE shows the operator of various versions of a bib record. When a bib record is imported via an import profile that creates inventory, however, the staff operator that ran the import is not identified as the creator of the bib, holding, and/or item record. We often did Access queries in Voyager to identify bibs, holdings, or item records created or modified by particular staff members or student assistants. I can see that we could do such a report from Alma on bib record operators of versions after the initial import and I can also see in the Item…

  9. Add "Loans (Not in House) From Resource Sharing Lending Request" measure

Currently in the Fulfillment subject area in Analytics, there is a measure for "Loans (Not in House) From Resource Sharing Borrowing Request". It would be helpful if any item loaned from our collection to another institution as part of a RS lending request have a loan measure applied to it as well so we can see how the collection is being used using just one report.

  10. Addition of DOIs and Proprietary Identifiers as Title Identifiers to Analytics Criteria

In Analytics within the Subject Area "Usage Date" the "Book DOI" (Counter R4 Reports) or "DOI" (Counter R5 Reports) are not selectable as Title Identifiers.

The same is true for "Proprietary Identifier" (Counter R4) or "Proprietary_ID" (Counter R5).

Since this information is sometimes listed in the corresponding columns of the COUNTER Book reports, it would be helpful if this information could also be retrieved in Analytics.

  11. Create reports across Pirmo VE and Alma Aanlytics modules

For example, in Primo>Usage>Report>Zero Result Searches example in
Design Analytics (Primo), in addition to the existing User Group field, the system can add fields from Alma Aanlytics, such as Statistical Category, Category Type, IP to provide subsequent analysis.

  12. Shared Dimensions

It would be really useful if you could only see the "fields" that are available to be used when using two dimensions to construct a query.

This would make the Analytics interface more user friendly, and remove the need for checking documentation to find out what fields are/are note available.

  13. RS borrowing request cancellation reason to be available in Analytics

When cancelling a Borrowing Request in Alma using the Change Status option in the Borrowing Request screen, there is the option to specify a Cancellation Reason. We would like the Cancellation Reason selected in the drop-down menu of the Request Cancellation box to be available in Analytics.

This would enable us to analyse reasons for the cancellation of borrowing requests by library staff and potentially identify opportunities for requester education. For example, if ‘copyright issue’ or ‘item already available’ are most frequently selected as the reason for borrowing request cancellation.

  14. Add a new Bibliographic ID field for OCLC Control Number 035z to display each OCN one row per MMS ID

Currently, a user may retrieve a delimited list of cancelled OCLC control numbers from the OCLC Control Number (035z) attribute under Bibliographic Details. However, this field has limited usefulness for a couple reasons. First, the field has a limit of 256 characters, which means when a bibliographic record shows more than 15 or 16 OCLC numbers have been merged, some numbers are excluded. Second, and more importantly, each individual control number cannot be matched to other cancelled or active control numbers in other records without being split to a separate field first. This is not a straightforward task in analytics…

  15. Adding the borrower code stats to the patron detailstable in the fullfiment subject area

The fullfiment subject area contains several tables related to the readers who borrowed the document including the "patron details" and "borrower details" tables. According to the documentation the data stored in the patron detail table are the characteristics of the reader at the time of the transaction. The "borrower details" table stores the characteristics of the reader at the time of the request.
It would be useful if the patron statistical codes were stored in the "patron details" table so that they can be historized.
Indeed, like many other libraries, we use these statistics to identify the academic department of…

  16. Analytics - increase maximum Excel export file size

Excel export from an analysis currently maxes out at 65002 rows, maybe because it's exporting in an early Excel format. Can this be changed to allow the current maximum of 1,048,576 rows?

(I know that .csv export allows more rows.)

  17. Make “Public access model for “Owned” purchase model” retrievable in Analytics query

When an Ebook Central ebook in the CZ is both owned and available in a subscribed subscription collection, the unlimited users license appears in the portfolio tab Acquisitions/Public Access model, and the number of users for the owned copy appears in "Public access model for "Owned" purchase model." Analytics cannot report out '“Public access model for “Owned” purchase model” in any case. All I can get is Public Access Model. When I report out both Purchase Model (owned, subscription, DDA) and Public Access model, and get owned and subscription but only Public Access Model unlimited users, I know that;s for…

  18. Add Library Tag (Course Reserves) field to the subject areas where Active Course code is already (eg Physical Items and E Inventory)

Currently we can get the Active Course codes to display in other Subject areas, such as E inventory or Physical Items, and this is very useful for several of our reports... but it would be significantly more useful if the report could also display the Library tag to indicate how important the item is. There is a big difference between items that are CORE and items that are Further reading. While it is possible to do a report based on another report- it would be much simpler if we could just add the tags to our original report.

  19. Analytics : "Inventory Price" and subtotal

Currently, in Analytics, it is impossible to subtotal the "Inventory Price" column.
The answer from Ex Libris: the "Inventory Price" field is a "Text" field; it is therefore impossible to have a sum of the field in text format (in the Oracle sense).
Idea: to be able to calculate a subtotal for the "Inventory Price" field in Analytics.

  20. Combining "Request Type", "Work Order Type" & "Process Type" in a single analytics report

We'd like to retrieve a full list (with breakdown of all Work Order Type, including withdrawn, display, missing, not for circulation items…etc) of physical records by Material Type, Word Order Type & Process Type via Analytics. However, only part of records can be retrieved currently after combining Process Type & Work Order Type together. After consulting Salesforce, it is confirmed Analytics do not support to combine these fields together in a single report. It's crucial to enable combining these fields in a report as library always need to review the figures of each Work Order Type & Process Type, not…
